Cnbc just had a guest on talking this morning about silver. Saying all the trillions $ in bonds and tech stocks have been looking at deflation going five years forward. That sentiment is changing to inflation so is bullish on it going to metals and predicting tech being chopped in half over the next few months..

There was also no mention of the off the scale banking crash in New York last September either, instead you have 24/7 wall to wall virus scare, odd that don't you think?

I really do not like the data coming in from across the world with regards the virus. Second Wave / continuation of the first wave (however you characterise it) looks to be strengthening in multiple territories.

I'd really much prefer to see Gold sit back down now. It's come an awful long way in a short time recently. The Cup is now formed and its great that the right hand side is forming higher than the left - that is very bullish but, i'd really prefer to see the Handle get printed now in the next 2-3 months. That would give me personally greater comfort in the pattern.

would not be surprised to see a sharp reversal at some point soon to shake out the recent 'robinhood' types who have piled in

Telegraph says gold is at ATH due to USA/China tensions.

99.9% of the world is clueless on everything.

Anyone else find it odd that the main news outlets, BBC, CNN, Wall Street Journal etc have no mention of gold breaking all time highs?

There’s nothing there, nada, as if it’s not happened.

$2k and gold would still be undervalued.

Miners are well off their long term relationship with gold. If they doubled they would be better valued.

spidertricks, gold has risen $40 in 12 trading hours, at that rate it could be $2000 tomorrow or Wednesday.

Seems likely a large sale being reported late. Frustrating.

Gold is still trickling up I wonder if it will hit $2000 before the end of July rather than the end of the year as predicted by some experts.

far too low a price to consider hedging, imo

H1 exploration/development update advised to be out by end of July; so expect
Tues/Wed./Thurs.
Underground drilling progress/results key; Avshancli probably next in importance.

JORC some time later as virus strictures delay [to site visits] impact the independent Datamine team that provides the 3D/4D resource modelling to AAZ.

mf, I believe that gold has a long way to run. My view is that the current exercise is to hide yet another massive banking scandal, whilst providing the excuse to create vast amounts of new 'money' which will lead to high inflation, thus permitting the re-introduction of normalised interest rates. Have you noticed how the well connected are selling prestige properties across the USA? Normalised interest rates are going to crash property prices, they will also in due course bring gold back down from the heights it has yet to reach. I also guess that in a display to control inflation we might well see the $ once again fixed to gold? Interesting times are upon us.

The preparation of the H1 2020 geological exploration report is currently underway and the Company expects this to be released around the end of July.

FWIW I am bullish on gold but wouldn't be averse to AAZ hedging a little around here. If we could lock in 15-20k oz at 1940 that would be a safe move imo

sp is now what it was 1st week of Jan give/take a penny or 2, depending what day.

Meanwhile POG risen from $1580/oz tops.
So ~$450/oz margin added, if this level bears up.
That's colossal.
fwiw, the 200 day ma is now over $1,610.
200 dma a pretty dependable support floor during bull phases and V shaped bounces the norm on being tested.

So, a lot of pessimism/fear in the share price methinks.

Well we have news due this week so the chances are before the divi is paid.
But i plan to wait till news has been released, because weather its bloody great news or bad, looking at the last years news flow,if it follows that trend the price will drop.

Gold up 35% but our margin up from around $700 to over $1300Let's hope this exploration update explains the dip down and gives a clear pathway to increasing production I know Napoleon said "take your time we're in a hurry" but Shakespeares "there is a tide in the affairs of men" is just as apposite. With gold so strong we need to strike while the iron is hot

Still holding strong here, still way undervalued, Gold up 35% over the last year, AAZ has some catching up to do! Hopefully they have a plane full of the on the way to Switzerland for processing at these prices.

I love the theory that good news is held back till after the dividend has been paid giving long term holders a chance to re-invest.

Glad to see the quality of posts have improved again. We’ve shed some impatient and an unsavoury, delusional poster which has helped. Well done to the patient, remain steadfast.

And it is pretty obvious from the latest video what the CEO is expecting from the results too. He can barely contain his excitement.

For PXC, I suspect that the valve keeping the share down may have been released. Over the last weeks someone has been selling parcels of 50,000 shares, which has provided shares to prospective buyers. However, the free float is relatively small, and now that this seller has got his money (maybe another investment, divorce, etc, who knows), and core holders are long timers, hanging on for the long term increase, which we all know is due, I don't think that there will be much slowing down. Today it's 40p, but it may not be too long before we'll be looking at 100p in the rear view mirror, and then 200p, and then upwards towards Mars if the results are as good and was wide as we suspect.
