22/5/2019 10:03 | While things are quiet, it is 24 days since the exploration update, where it was mentioned that there would be "results soon" from the site near to Gosha. Hopefully that will be the start of a stream of positive exploration updates. Really hope they come thick and fast. | mad foetus
22/5/2019 08:50 | Bought some BAF this morning as a bit of a punt | oakey1
22/5/2019 08:45 | Good Morning all. I have been watching Metro Bank. The share price took a hammering the last few weeks, it seems to have a rocket under the share price right now. Amazing what rumors can do to a Co,s share price. Have a good day all. | callmebwana
22/5/2019 08:42 | re analyst coverage - I notice on of SPA's other stocks, BMN has a price target on it of 87p (i'm sure that will get revised upwards after this morning's rns too) ...so they clearly can go bullish | sportbilly1976
22/5/2019 08:25 | morning wan, yep that's what he's saying, not seen him comment on au. in a while... sticking to v short term shorts at the mo, SOU yesterday on the duster, BMN today on the spike, in and out. | bumpa33
22/5/2019 07:43 | Good Morning all and good luck today :-) Cheers Wan | wanobi
22/5/2019 07:43 | thanx Bumpa, I think in summary he's saying the path of least resistance for POG right now is up, right? cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
22/5/2019 07:19 | yasX, that's a fair comment. I have bought many times on the dips and AAZ is now probably near 35% of my higher risk portfolio, whereas I don't really want any position to exceed 20%. So I do probably watch it more closely than I should. Equally, I don't own any other share where the analyst coverage is much worse than useless, and as I have said, most institutional investors will use those figures as their first port of call. So I do find it frustrating. And it is not the company's fault, but it is something that they can better manage. But yes, shouldn't get so fraught. | mad foetus
22/5/2019 02:37 | Just skimmed the comments from today - good summary of salient factors from Mattjos in 22129. I also agree with JB re the diversification, which for me, has always been something to welcome since it reduces the risk profile in terms of geography. MadFoetus - although I entirely concur re the output from Sp A (which I many months ago have stated is utterly useless), banging the drum every two minutes (and especially when you see the price drift) suggests you are perhaps overly exposed in terms of your position size v the risk you are able or willing to absorb. If you are invested then short term gyrations should not be a concern. If you are trading it, then they are. I do not know if the position you have is leveraged, but it would not surprise me given your vacillating approach of applauding the Board/Co when the price goes up a few pence and then a day or so later launching a scathing attack when the price drops a penny or three. In the words of John Bercow, "calm down man"....your turn will come. | yasx

21/5/2019 16:40 | I cannot recall, did the guys meet Reza when they went out there? Interesting that we never hear from him, he resides in Baku, London and Washington DC, so he's around our patch during the year for sure.... I suppose, 'why buy a dog and bark yourself' applies :-) LOL,,,,, none the less it would be nice to hear him though :-) Cheers Wan | wanobi
21/5/2019 16:17 | Hopefully it won't take long for a significant discovery to be found at Ordubad. If they could produce a 250,000pa stand alone operation in Ordubad as initially intended in the IPO docs at similar operating costs the sky is the limit. I'm holding for the journey, been here 10 years already, may as well wait for the jewels in those Ordubad hills to be opened | sharekitchen1974
21/5/2019 16:16 | AAZ seem quite old school on P.R, “old” being the operative word. See others thinking of mentioning it at A.G.M may listen in or do similar, depending on the date. Not quite a bounce back yet. | riggerbeautz
21/5/2019 16:04 | :-) … agree. There'll come a time for that jb | mattjos
21/5/2019 15:23 | Nice summary Matt Just one addition if you don’t mind... The company has expressed a desire to “aggressively pursue any suitable opportunities outside Azerbaijan which it believes can be made commercially successful." | jbravo2
21/5/2019 15:14 | That's it I'm all in bar the kitchen sink, final top up complete until more funds become available, dividends and plenty of share price gains please mr mm | sharekitchen1974
21/5/2019 15:08 | the reality is that not many people really know how to value this company. It is an almost unique operation. 90% of folk can't even get past the PSA. Things to concentrate on are: Cash Flow … which the company is throwing off like a drunken sailor Operational efficiency … Bill (as an accountant) thinks we've just about got this nailed now at Gedabek. In life though, opportunities for process improvement are always apparent & assuming the company has the right culture in place, incremental improvements will continue to be implemented. Dividends … we've only actually received one so far and now the second payment is going to be larger than the first. I do not believe anyone here in 2015/16 thought this was going to be the case but, dividends are a powerful magnet for investors looking for yield. Exploration .. this is the biggest single lever now on the share price, in terms of propelling it much higher. Specifically exploration in/around Ordubad. We've poked about a bit there in the past but, we are now on with the real job & quantitative & qualitative data will be coming in throughout the rest of this year and next. Any one of these data releases from here onwards likely to be the one that propels the valuation sharply higher, much higher. I'm sitting tight and looking for any more cheap ones going under a £1 | mattjos
21/5/2019 14:14 | Not quite sure why the CEO doesn't get involved in marketing the company? | goodgrief
21/5/2019 14:04 | AAZ intraday reversal coming with a few more buys :-) cheers Wan | wanobi

21/5/2019 13:06 | Same here - added 5k via IG on that dip down to the low 90s | polaris
21/5/2019 12:49 | Nice to see the Board nice a busy here... Just had a conversation with brokers, they are going to have a good look at figures been quoted going forward and try to get the platforms to update. We are all aboard a strong ship here.... do not let the winds of trading confuse you and jump overboard. We will get to our destination and the Champagne will be popping.... | terropol |
