20/5/2019 11:59 | Matt, re gaps, what's the three day rule? It's worth checking the two main types of chart for gaps. Advfn use mid prices to shape the daily candles, other providers use the last market prices. These two alternate data inputs can create some very different patterns and historical features. This is particularly true of thinly traded stocks. For example a late reported trade can completely skew a last m chart, while a mid based chart will be unaffected. When looking for gaps, it is also worth identifying the type. For example AAZ has a gap on my last market chart from 29/4/2019, 79.8-80.0 This is a Breakaway gap, is a gap up in response to an rns. These often remain unfilled for a considerable time. | bamboo2
20/5/2019 11:33 | The silver chart is looking very sick at the moment. I expect it will bottom at $14. The gold to silver ratio really favors investment in physical silver now. | brasso3
20/5/2019 10:55 | yasX, don't forget his pizza restaurant! | goodgrief
20/5/2019 10:55 | re. 22036 Matt There's still plenty of sample analysis to come wrt 2018 explor. let alone 2019. Something could land any day soon. | 2sporrans
20/5/2019 10:54 | 3-day rule here with a gap fill? | mattjos
20/5/2019 10:48 | The shares have responded higher to 98.5p, capitalising the company at approx. £113 million – this currently circa $145 million. There may well be more both macro and company specific-based upside but we noted on 63p offer price October 2018 recommendation, “target 85p+ (more if gold really zooms)” and concluded just last month “there’s certainly enough here to make us consider a return to a 95p+ share price not unrealistic”. With the shares now 96p to sell, we now change our stance to take profits & sell. excerpt from share price AAZ note, fair enough i'd say, they've made a profit, they're taking it. Nothing negative, in fact highlights the further potential. IOF, so much for a trading opp this a.m. - guess the extended timetable's put the mockers on that for now. wonder what leaked about 9.30 in TCG...!? | bumpa33
20/5/2019 10:42 | :D TW wasn’t telling me to buy it when it was 5p so you’ll excuse me if I ignore his advice now | jbravo2
20/5/2019 10:42 | Re the self styled tipster suggesting these are a sell. I would not pay any attention to his ramblings, irrespective of what the outlook is for AAZ. He is the chap that for a decade promoted every dud AIM tiddler as a no brainer, but most of them went bust. He then ran a gold fund in the middle of a huge bull run for gold and it was from memory the worst performing fund and failed miserably. Having ramped every dud AIM tiddler, he then proclaimed himself to be a bear cautioning against overhyped jam tomorrow AIM stocks. He used to email me years ago asking me for my thoughts on articles he wished to publish prior to putting them out - Sefton was a case in point. I provided him all the material exposing that dud and he went and churned much of it verbatim. Ignore. | yasx
20/5/2019 10:33 | I'm walking dog but assume there is now no debate that the gap has been filled? | mad foetus
20/5/2019 10:32 | In my view AAZ continues to be the cheapest best value stock on the whole market. It's not a 'hold and hope' enterprise but an excellently run 'earner' with high prospects of considerable new resources. | lefrene
20/5/2019 10:31 | When it comes to valuaing a company, there are various valuation methods that are used. The 3 main ones are probably Assets, P/E ratio and DCF. Value of assets May be used for e.g. a takeover bid, if bidder thought tangible assets could be sold quickly for more than the current value of the company, its market capital. P/E ratio Price / Earnings ratio. Probably the most commonly used method used by the average investor. DCF Discounted Cash Flow. You would need some knowledge of accounting to do this. You would need to build a financial model in a spreadsheet, then decide on a discount rate. Current PE ratio and a simplistic estimate of a likely PE over the next few years is where I would suggest you start your research, if you are interested. In the future if you decide to take more interest in the financials you may one day attempt a DCF model. | conundrum
20/5/2019 10:10 | I doubt many of TWs followers hold AAZ and if they do they will know more about it than him. I don't totally dismiss him: his opinions can be good on accounting matters and BB favourites, but AAZ is a straightforward company and there are no accounting smoke and mirrors here | mad foetus
20/5/2019 10:07 | LOL :0) Looks like someone has taken Tom Winnifirith and Steve Moore's advice. With 3.18P yet to collect in a few weeks, leaving it for the new buyer to collect it!! | callmebwana
20/5/2019 09:50 | Looks like a textbook retrace to support level with bounce to come. | mad foetus
20/5/2019 09:30 | Oakey1, I recently just transferred an old work pension with L&G into a SIPP (AJ Bell). It was all relatively straight forward - they give you a form to complete. I requested a cash transfer so they sold my units in the L&G Managed Pension fund and transferred the cash value - took about 2 weeks. I spent some of the cash on more AAZ shares at 86p - so that portion is doing well :) The L&G Managed Fund had averaged around 7% annual return since 2006, which is about the average stock market return I believe? Not bad, but I wanted to see if I can do better. | king suarez
20/5/2019 09:24 | he has no knowledge of this company whatsoever and just churns out tripe for subscriptions. his style better suited to the 0.01p stocks. Don't believe any here will follow his advice but, more fool them if they do. Looking forward to the data from ALS: & the FAMOS interpretation of Ordubad samples | mattjos
20/5/2019 09:23 | Winnefroth does get some stick and rightly so, he talks his own book up and down.., so he's clearly sold some on the chart.. #yasX... T1ps as I recall, Winnefroth couldn't locate a pint in a tap room .. :o) The company gets stronger every day, $25M per quarter revenues, regardless of the technical signals.. Gaps get filled, and then we will move up.. again.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
20/5/2019 09:15 | oakey1, You can transfer money (or the shares, I think, need to check) into a SIPP. I also use HL, not the cheapest, but I find them helpful. As wan says, give them a call and the questions. | 11_percent
20/5/2019 09:12 | Winnifith is a gimp so that is expected behaviour | mr roper
20/5/2019 09:07 | :-) what a nice chap he is | mattjos
20/5/2019 08:55 | yep, agreed cmb, sit on our hands time :-) cheers Wan TSG being bought up today :-) | wanobi |
