If you want your shares vote to be counted you’ll need to register it beforehand or have evidence, the show of hands is clearly only symbolic.
It is enabled by the fact the board hold so much and have, usually, preregistered their vote

Don't count on all companies being as 'casual'. Others can be real sticklers on entry requirements to their AGM's.

Yeah I've never bothered getting anything formal. You'll be asked to sign in.
Perhaps if you had a shareholding that could outvote Reza and wanted to oppose any of the motions you might need to do that :D
As it is everything is usually done on a show of hands.


As an aside, the meeting where the share premium was cancelled to enable dividends to be paid was interesting.
FZ and I showed up to that meeting, which I think took them by surprise. They'd only got proxy votes of a few hundred thousand it turned out. (They'd not got Reza or others to sign the forms in time)
If so minded we could have outvoted the motion! :D

Clearly we voted in favour :)

morning, went small short SPX last night, plus a dabble on the cannabis index, again short - from a Lucien Miers article. ORM, stock offered there this morning, though they're trying to give it a push. BMN ditto, whatever news that puts out there's a wall of stock available in the 30's. Was tempted by DISH for a trade but left it alone.

ORM RNS today, we're up and running, but I'm guessing the stock will be brought down today on the mention of this " This localised complexity has resulted in lower mined grades than forecast in the initial ore feed from this pit.",,, I think most were expecting high grades so that's going to shock some,,, but, lets see, I'm useless at predicting how the market will react to RNS's :-) Cheers Wan
