So I think some investors thought it was best for him to step down

Not sure if you are aware but JK had MND and his health was seriously deteriorating

Numbers don't add up really for Juno with 20% not to be involved...even if a few of the new undisclosed holders clubbed together for specific attack on the Chair , 24.6% of the issued capital voted against the Chair with less than 50% of shareholders voting gave them the over 50% majority to defeat the resolution to reappoint. Unusual situation and your suggestion is that a large group of undisclosed ( and maybe smaller disclosed) acted together.Once again not impossible but highly unlikely..this was pre organised.I guess we don't actually get to find out..but if anyone talks to the company appreciate any takes from those in the know. Why just the Chair if any intent to control ?

Recent placings have brought on some large (just under 3%) very knowledgeable players who I guess, can see AYM's value and will do what's required to monetise that..this is very positive for AYM

Anyone short here could fry, somethings afoot.

Is it a case that the major shareholder has had enough of the underperformance ?

What do you think happened Calmtrader , if not Juno wielding the dagger...i really cannot see how predominantly small investors managed a coup without Juno. In fact i think it is impossible...but happy to be proved wrong if there is an explanation. What happens next??

Interesting mining lamp..I have considered the connection with Jo leaving..i also considered that the Chair could be an issue with appointment of new CEO if they are too entrenched.I'm sure there has been a beside the scenes battle and what comes of it corporate or otherwise will be interesting.Could well be that major shareholder(s) want to sell assets at industry values rather than dilute further at market values.

I'm surprised that no-one has considered the yesterdays dismissal of JK and the recent resignation of JB as linked in some way.

Maybe there is corporate action of some kind ahead, maybe Juno are fed up with the languishing share price and slow progress, maybe they want to offload a project, maybe they want to acquire Anglesey.

It was rather interesting that Mr Varma liked a twitter post that was critical of AYM some months back also.

It could get interesting here now.

“QME would earn a 30% undivided joint venture interest in the Parys Mountain”

Interesting to see Kearney linked to QME founder Peter McParland via directorship of ONCOLOGICA UK LIMITED

QME founder

Both Kearney and Varma are linked to QME founder Peter McParland via directorship of Minco.

The QME AYM joint venture is just another personal money go round for the boys club to profit from.

Inconceivable that this could happen without Juno’s blessing.

Seems unlikely as there are few that could organise such a protest vote...then you look at the voting for other directors and although it may be possible, it's difficult to conclude that it was anything but Juno that turned against the Chair. Varma is no longer a director of Juno I believe but represents and has a beneficial interest ..but could be Juno directors have had enough.Certainly seems some boardroom battle has gone on to me.

Interesting, about JK .. thanks for the comments on here otherwise I would have missed it. Something has clearly been going on at board level.

Well he was on the board for over 25years and achieved not a lot...but there appears to have been a long overdue coup. The interesting thing is if one knew this was coming you would announce you would not be standing and step aside in a gentlemen's agreement. Here he has been thrown off the board so unclear if he saw it coming.Did Varma vote against him ??

A conspiracy theory though would be more intriguing, such as that JK was blocking a move by one or more major shareholders and so he was ousted as a blocker? Who knows eh. Gla.

JK going was quite a surprise to me. I wonder if he wanted to go and organised the voting against himself? Stranger things have happened but the silence about it is a concern. I wish him well. Gla.
