Is something brewing here, buyers have been nibbling, historic placing stock seems to be in sticky hands, price moving up, probably worth a punt.

If the right news comes +200%/300% in no time.

Agreed Hyperal, we could have a value-transforming announcement any day on Grangesburg, and I can only hope that everything is being explored in the background unseen to us, and the possible rare earths in the tailings does maybe make it a 3 way story rather than a simple all or nothing. With Parys I can at least see ponderously slow steps towards extracting what is known to be there, and QME are involved who do at least really mine stuff, not just talk about it.

This iron mine is opening just up the road from Grangesberg

It plans to be fully automated. Which is interesting as a director of GIAB is an expert in automated mining systems.

Must see video re Grangesberg

I had not seen this video until today. Jo talking about Grangesberg. Apatite mentioned, but not REE.

Anglesey Mining are developing the Grängesberg Iron Mine in central Sweden.

Some info related to the Grängesberg deposit concerning it's Iron, Apatite and Rare Earth Elements

YouTube video all about Phosphorous (extracted from Apatite) in Sweden, link is to a section in video about a company looking to extract recover Apatitie and REE from tailings at Grängesberg video should start at the Apatite Project.
Existing Apatite tailings contain.0.8% REE
I assume these tailings come from the same mineral deposit we are going to mine.
Scoping study concerning tailings dump

So when our Grängesberg mine opens a neighbouring property will already have the facilities to process any Apatite our mine produces and hopefully processes in place to extract the REE as well.

Much as I would like to see Parys Mt reopen, I'm a lot more excited about the Grängesberg Iron mine with it's very pure Iron Ore, Apatite and REE.

Long YouTube video all about Phosphorus in Sweden, including at 52:45 into video about the 'The Grängesberg Apatite Project' see

video should start at the Apatite Project

Looks like facilities will be available on site for Apatite processing from this tailings project (see video above) before our mine opens, so no capex required by us as facilities will already be available locally. A massive positive

Seems the muon tomography that is being tested down the Morris shaft will (if successful) be applied down the Northern Copper zone exploratory drill holes. This might indicate if there is something of interest adjacant to the drill hole. I guess the test program will assesss the depth to which this can be used, as it could be that not enough muons get down to the depth of the NCZ (c600m).

Didn’t they restart Parys Mountain exploration 2 years ago when the share price was 4p?

Well I'm back in. This time its all to do with Grängesberg. Obviously the Iron ore deposit is the target and certainly worth going for, but what I am really excited about is the Apatite and associated Rare Earth Elements (REE), these will be byproducts from the Iron Ore extraction.

AYM reports that the mine when previously opened produced Apatite I quote "Previously, revenue was also generated from the sale of apatite concentrates (17 – 19% P) produced from the tailings stream. While the PFS indicates potential apatite production of 210 000 tpy, no sales have yet been included in the financial evaluation. This product also contains elevated rare earth content." source .It gets better according to GRANGEX Apatite who are planning on extracting Apatite and maybe Rare Earths from old mine tailings in Grängesberg from historic mining states "When processing the tailings for Apatite, the REE in those mineral follows with to the product(Figure 9), resulting in appr 0,8 % REE in the Apatite concentrate. Grängesberg is now in dialogue with possible Apatite customers regarding extracting of these elements from their downstream processing. One of the possible customers, Yara, is known to participate in Rare Earth extraction through the EU-funded SECREETs program." see section 4.1.3 in pdf link 'Jan-Matts Tailings Dam - Scoping Study' on this page also section 4.1.2 about value of Apatite like "$150" per ton! That's $31m just for Apalite byproduct.!

A simple calculation would suggest that if the Apatite occurs as PFS states at 210,000 per year and percentage of REE to Apatite is 0.8%, then that is 1,680 tons of REE per year.

So income from Iron, Apatite and REE. Just look at the REE deposit that made the newsrecent near Kiruna in North Sweden.

These OLD mines have a lot more value in them these days! Waste is not wasted.

Lets hope when we do more drilling at Grängesberg we make sure we do geochem for REE, if we find hot spots like at the Kiruna Iron Mine we could find that there is more value in the REE than the Iron.

Anyone know what size these test drill bores are in the Northern Copper zone (should have started by now)? Just curious as I read that the Muon detector they are testing down the Morris shaft will fit into NQ bore holes - which I think are 3 inch (75mm). I can see the advantage if they can use the detector on some of the diamond drill holes.

Very quiet on this thread nowadays.
Seems like we investors are writing this share off at the moment.
Maybe in another 10 years it may rise again.
In the meantime, will we see another raise soon by the board.
I expect so. 1.2p share value coming ? Hope not.

Sadly, the one penny share looms.
Other junior miners are also suffering as well though.
There needs to be a massive shot in the arm from somewhere to get this sector moving.
Not looking promising at the moment.

272959 AYM shares went through as sell orders.

It’s always good to know that there is someone out there still willing to risk the price of a latte buying a parcel of AYM shares.

Well, if that was the case. then it's time to shut the company down. so as to keep the asset safe. until they get some sort of offer from elsewhere. the same as lim
is trying to do.

Annual financials due anytime now will reveal the huge impact of restarting directors salaries and perks. This will be the first full year since Jo Battershill started over 2 years ago. I’d guess we’ll see a further fall in the share price when the losses are revealed.
