23/3/2021 20:58 | I read the prospectus but shied away from trusting it, so didn't invest at ipo, and thereby missed the early surge that would have made me a good quick return. Congratulations to those who played it and won. I've since read every post - for and against - and I shall keep it on my watch list. But at present my view is negative. If I miss out, I miss out. Good luck to anyone taking a positive view and being proved right. I don't mind being wrong occasionally. But as someone who has closely followed battery development over the last decade and a half, I am so far unimpressed by what Amte are doing, in lithium and sodium development. For me they just don't seem to offer anything outstanding in a very crowded field, and seem to be chasing the bandwagon from behind. | grabster
23/3/2021 20:54 | I reckon snooper flash and 74 are the same poster personally. Hiding in plain site imo. Anyway he did touch on the term "Business Model" ok then, let's have a laugh shall be BUSINESS MODEL: discuss !!! | my retirement fund
23/3/2021 20:33 | As I said last night, I know a bit about the sector and cell cost, rather cost per KWh is coming down rapidly-target is $100 in next couple of years. This means small production is very challenging in trying to make a profit-the market is basically trying to commoditise cells. A lot of hype around batteries generally but cost is under attack | pinkfoot2
23/3/2021 15:48 | Reminds me of Bookham , £23 to 80p and then sent packing to Nasdaq , shorts made a packet , pi lost their shirts , look forward to the company's guidance going forward. | jotoha2
23/3/2021 14:31 | It's just the same clown with multiple user names scooper. Filtered en masse. | flashheart
23/3/2021 14:23 | Seems to be a lot of people who are anxiously determined that this company doesn't have much of a long term future. Is that normally the case on BBs after an IPO? | scooper72
23/3/2021 13:48 | You are right about the IP, MRF. Good post. | cjohn
23/3/2021 11:34 | Thats a fair shout Cjohn. Be careful using the term technology though, remember they don't own a d valuable IP. For example the sodium technology is another companies all together and AMTE are going out on a limb to try to produce a commercial sodium cell where the market is completely unknown whilst at the same time, the product totally unproven. The USP of AMTE being low volume specialist production. Thats at complete odds to the purported advantages of that particular chemistry which would of course need to be large scale mass production. I concur with your assessment of valuation of the company presently. | my retirement fund
23/3/2021 10:29 | I don't have the specialist knowledge of MRF. I am merely a generalist value investor, who makes a living from investing. As far as I can see, AMTE has some very very early stage technology, cash raised in the IPO, and some possibly useful industry contacts. Unfortunately, it is trading at multiples of cash raised. And the chances that it will be successful are very low indeed. If it was trading at cash value, you could put a small sum in and regard the investment as a call option on the small probability that the company will develop saleable technology that will beat all the competition in a field that will become increasingly crowded. Good luck to all holders. | cjohn
23/3/2021 09:58 | I'm afraid I don't follow that one, can you enlighten me? I am often surprised how long some of these listed AIM follies can survive for. XSG and WSG which I was only just reviewing at the weekend spring to mind | my retirement fund
23/3/2021 09:42 | MRF, it's worked pretty well for the likes of ITM. Over £2b market cap | homebrewruss
23/3/2021 09:40 | Reading that is incredible they actually managed an IPO, they must have deserved an Oscar for the standard of acting during their funding roadshow. 20 million pounds of intangible good will, 15 million pound of interlectual property and patent liabilities (it seems they don't have any of key IP at all), it looks like they were pretty close to insolvency at the point of IPO. The game now will be to accelerate a never ending news stream of bamboozling joint collaborations and projects showered with as many frameworks and MOUs that you can shake a stick at, to try to keep the share price bubbling away ready for the next round of funding. | my retirement fund
23/3/2021 09:04 | So how are they going to do that , where are the contracts going forward ? | jotoha2
23/3/2021 08:07 | An interesting half year report this morning. Slow but positive burn I would say.Importantly as an investor this xtra capital, investment in management resources and costly time spent on securing small grants need to turn into revenue and profits in the next few months. | mnuttall69
23/3/2021 07:51 | It's about transparency , something sadly missing from most AIM companies. | 1savvyinvestor
23/3/2021 07:45 | It’s not a mega valuation at all unless you’re unaware of what other green energy peers are valued at. I’m surprised they’ve released half year results so soon after IPO though, would have been much better to wrap them up in the prospectus. | 74tom
23/3/2021 07:29 | Mega valuation for a R&D company ,will watch with interest. | jotoha2
23/3/2021 07:15 | Well written rns. Losses were known about . Future looks bright . Still £2.1 million of grants to use before they even touch the ipo money . Intelligent people running this business . With security of supply from U.K. shores being increasingly important I see this as a superb investment in the green energy space | 1savvyinvestor
22/3/2021 20:54 | I know a bit about the space and do wonder where the margin is going to come from when you look at cell technology heading toward $100 per Kwh.That means heavy volume needed to generate a decent return on capital. It’s all about the future on this one.Be careful | pinkfoot2
22/3/2021 12:46 | Bought a few more for the pot at 284.5p | volsung |
