21/9/2017 16:33 | Will You top up Papillon to stop dilution | spuddymadrid
21/9/2017 16:27 | Well, spuddymadrid, it looks to me like a case of enabling "favoured" investors to clmb aboard at a "nice" low price! A case of Mates Rates? However the story still looks good here and the chart, longer term, still looks favourable. Hopefully, now that the funding issue is settled and not hanging over the company like a Sword of Damocles, the AMYT share price should perform significantly better in what remains of 2017. I'm looking forward to todays GAP DOWN being filled in the short term and a break out from my 5 month short term chart downtrend, though the share price could drift down towards the 20p placing price over the coming days. | papillon
21/9/2017 15:33 | Disgusted Papillon with This placement. Why was This not done next year following increase in share price. It is disgusting. Very unfair to small shareholders. Why were We not told about This at AGM. This is a Good company but Very nasty way to treat small shareholders | spuddymadrid
21/9/2017 15:15 | Posted on the lse bb by Kev4 and very true: "The market thinks this was a bad RNS and of course it is because not only were we not expecting a dilution, we were told the complete opposite." The only thing I would add is we were expecting a placing, but only after the initial results of the AP101 trial next year and NOT NOW and at such a big percentage discount to last years placing and flotation price bearing in mind the Lojuxta & EIB loan good news issued in December 2016 ! The timing and price stink IMO. It has all the hallmarks of getting certain institutional and "friendly" PI's on board at a low price. | papillon
21/9/2017 14:37 | "and better to raise both when you don't really need it and into a rising share price " >>>>> "rising sp", waterloo? The placing is at over a 20% discount to the price AMYT floated at, waterloo. Despite the good news concerning the Lojuxta licence and the EIB loan the AMYT share price has GONE LITERALLY NOWHERE during those circa 16-17 months since flotation! Currently the share price is 2p below the 24p AMYT floated at. The 200 day SMA is still rising and the 50 day SMA is above the 200 day SMA and backs up the excellent fundamentals; so longer term the future still looks bright! So I'll continue to hold and hope for a significantly higher share price this time next year. FINGERS CROSSED AS ALWAYS. This is AIM after all and most AIM shares fail to live up to investors expectations. | papillon
21/9/2017 14:25 | Well now we know the reason, greendragon, why the AMYT share price failed to break out from a short term downtrend going back to April even after the good news contained in the interim results and the New York presentation! It was because those large shareholders (and potential shareholders) who knew about the placing where in no rush to buy! Why should they buy at 25p when they knew that that a placing was coming at 20p? It wouldn't surprise me to learn that some of those in the know about the placing either sold shares, or shorted AMYT. Stranger things have happened!! LOL. What I do find strange is that they managed to get a placing away at 24p around 17 months ago, but could only get this one away at 20p despite the good news concerning the acquisition of the Lojuxta licence and the EIB loan taking place in the meantime! It stinks IMO. It'll be interesting to see the details of those taking part in the placing. | papillon
21/9/2017 14:05 | It's always easy in hindsight Paps but it's a very tricky game trying to time the tops and bottoms, like catching a falling knife as they say. | greendragon777
21/9/2017 13:59 | Have to say I wasn't expecting the raise, but like one of my other bio stocks who also recently did a surprise raise, it's done now, the company is fully funded (and I like the tone of getting ready for EB approvals) and better to raise both when you don't really need it and into a rising share price It will recover IMO and I've topped up and will do so again while it's in this range. | waterloo01
21/9/2017 13:40 | Number 7 on todays biggest percentage movers. Unfortunately it's number 7 on the list of todays biggest percentage LOSERS! Such is life! | papillon
21/9/2017 12:52 | I'm not angry with the company, greendragon, I'm angry with myself. My chart & chart signals (look at my posts) said sell and I didn't!! Longer term, I agree, the AMYT story looks good, but short term I could have made money by selling and then buying back in!! Oh well, it's my only share and I've only spent £4k and I'm not losing money so I'll continue to hold as the future story looks very good. Only time will tell. | papillon
21/9/2017 12:29 | Another interesting day for AMYT...beats the hell outta drifting sideways for weeks on end! Haha As I have more time to digest the placing I honestly think it's great news. It completely takes the issue of cash/fund raising off the table. Markets are at all time highs and if that were to suddenly change (which is very possible) then AMYT could get locked out of the markets which would spell disaster for the company. So a very prudent move IMO. The company is now significantly de-risked and should have a clear path to AP101 approval. Also it will be interesting to see who bought the shares, it's possible they were bought by US investors which would attract new investors and possibly help it on it's way to a listing on the Nasdaq. One last thing to consider.....if the company has effectively issued an additional 25% shares then you could arguably say that the company is trading at a 10/12% premium on yesterday! 😉 This is just part and parcel of AMYT's evolution to becoming a larger and more mature company. I for one one be selling a single share and if prices stay at this level I will only build on it. This stock needs another 12 months to mature! Hang in there Paps, she'll come good! ☺ | greendragon777
21/9/2017 11:38 | Like the `story` here ,bought and sold last week for my own reasons .. will have another go ,just wondering whether the share price will go to placing price ? | ccr1958
21/9/2017 09:49 | Good news from one perspective, bad news from another. The swings & roundabouts of taking a punt on SMEs quoted on AIM continues unabated. | pottermagic2310
21/9/2017 09:26 | Safe to go in the water now? I think so, nearly did a few weeks ago but weighed it up and decided not to, funding was an issue, it isn't now. | paleje
21/9/2017 08:07 | This most likely took a few weeks to organise, a month ago the share price was circa 20p so that puts the placing in a different light | alphabravo321
21/9/2017 08:06 | mick - yes, they were but why do it at this level? Not all that long ago, they were saying that they were fine for cash and had drawn down part of their loan arrangement. This looks to me like a "golden circle" job.....unnecessary at this price in my opinion. | thecynical1
21/9/2017 07:38 | AMYT was always going to have to raise more equity, so not really a surprise. Overall, a strong vote of confidence. | mick
21/9/2017 07:38 | It's great shame that PI's have not been invited to participate. Well there you go!! | bazworth
21/9/2017 07:31 | it is normally not that difficult to get a placing away when you are offering a 20% discount to the share price......oh well....should have sold.....AGAIN...... | thecynical1
21/9/2017 07:26 | Wow overscribed! | filterwest
21/9/2017 07:10 | Plaing at 20p! | alphabravo321
20/9/2017 23:24 | There were just 3 trades today. The final one was a buy of 50k @ 25.75p. Lets hope it's a sign of things to come! Fingers crossed. | papillon |
