Posted at 21/11/2021 13:39 by papillon The AMYT share price has, since the May takeover, been going sideways between circa 160p and circa 180p apart from 2 brief and temporary escapes to circa 150p and circa 170p.Presumably we will have to wait until St Andrews Day for the share price to break out? Will it break out up, or down? |
Posted at 19/11/2021 16:41 by papillon Who knows what will happen to the AMYT share price in the future, bazworth? All I know is what has happened to it in the past and it's not been good news since it listed back in May 2016. It's effectively gone from 144p (after accounting for the 2019 consolidation) to today's closing price of 167p. That performance over five and a half years has been desultory. Hardly a scintillating performance. I suppose at least it hasn't gone down in price, though it almost halved in early 2019. |
Posted at 18/9/2021 13:38 by papillon For the first time since March the AMYT share price rose above the Kumo (cloud) on the Ichimoku chart (which went strongly bullish yesterday).PS The closing price yesterday was 177p, not the 180p that is indicated on the chart in the header. advfn have taken the price of a small UT trade timed at 4:35pm as the closing price so don't be surprised if the AMYT share price opens at 177p on Monday morning. |

The share price could really take off when the sellers on Nasdaq are finally out of stock to sell (as there is good news to come). Hopefully that will be very soon. |

AIM is just the secondary listing and has been since the Aegerion RTO.Yes, richpassi, there is no doubt the AMYT share price would be a lot higher without the Nasdaq listing. For some reason the Yanks are not enamoured with AMYT. |
Posted at 28/7/2021 15:26 by papillon You did the right thing, volsung.God only knows why the AMYT share price rose earlier today as the closing price of an ADS on Nasdaq last night was equivalent to 156p per AMYT share. I sold my AMYT shares (again) earlier this month which I'd only bought back in June, for a small loss (unfortunately) and put the money into buying extra SQZ and PXC. A wise decision as it has turned out! There is obviously a reason why American investors don't rate AMYT. Is it the large debt the company has? June's recovery in the share price has all the hallmarks of a "dead cat" bounce, but why? Ray Stafford obviously thought they were cheap at £2, so why do the Yank's not agree? |

I find it completely logical when you consider AMYT had to pay a substantial premium to Chiasma shareholders to acquire the company. That must reduce the value of AMYT shares if Chiasma shares were already fairly valued before the takeover was announced. It's normal for the share price of the acquiring company to fall if the acquisition is of a large size relative to the acquirer and a large premium has to be paid to acquire the company. |
Posted at 08/5/2021 13:22 by papillon It is jam tomorrow for AMYT shareholders, delta0091, since they haven't had much jam since AMYT first listed 5 years ago after the RTO of FAST. The original AMYT placing, 5 years ago, was at 24p. Since then we have had a 1 for 6 consolidation. Do the maths, delta0091 and you will see that AMYT has been a poor performer for long term holders.I no longer fall in love with shares. I agree the future looks bright for AMYT, but that has yet to be translated into profits for long term holders. Of course it could be worse because the AMYT share price is at least higher than it was 5 years ago, so LTH's haven't lost money. |
Posted at 07/5/2021 18:08 by papillon It's always jam tomorrow with AMYT. Long term the future is bright for AMYT, but I could be dead before that bright future arrives. Consequently I sold my remaining paltry 500 AMYT shares before today's late drop in the share price I have the CVR's, so I still have skin in the game and will continue to monitor the AMYT share price and chart with a view to buying back in sometime (assuming I haven't kicked the bucket in the meantime). |
Posted at 05/5/2021 13:45 by papillon I believe some yanks knew about this deal and how it would likely adversely affect the AMYT share price as the ADS price has been weak recently, especially yesterday. This weakness turned the AMYT share price and ADS Ichimoku charts strongly bearish recently. |
