How long is a piece of string?? Depends on how long any negotiations are and how keen any buyers are on completing a deal.

I do wish people wouldn't keep stating their dreams that an RNS is coming out imminently with an offer for X pence (X = the dream price). It would be great if there was an inside track on what is happening, but unlikely. However if one has to do this, how about stating your source? i.e. this is what I would like to see happen or whatever?? :0)

The Takeover Panel has granted a dispensation from the requirements of Rules 2.4(a), 2.4(b) and 2.6(a) of the Code such that any interested party participating in the formal sale process will not be required to be publicly identified as a result of this announcement (subject to note 3 to Rule 2.2 of the Code) and will not be subject to the 28 day deadline referred to in Rule 2.6(a) of the Code, for so long as it is participating in the formal sale process.

A share buyback is a fun idea, but IMO playing firmly and politely hard to get
will bring the best result.
I hope anything under 30p gets short shrift like M & P, and over 30p should be matched up publicly against cash & assets, which would make 35p a baseline figure.

At the same time, all good news should be brandished & RNSed as this will talk up the shares price. Any spudding should be started asap, & AMER should be seen to be waiting for noone, just looking after number 1; itself & its' owners.

If the board play this right I expect 40p-ish and a not-unhappy buyer.

It wouldn't surprise me if the deal has already been agreed with Indians or yanks I don't think they will release any info good or bad now regardless

However....Stifel target price of 37p does not take account of any news on Plat22 or Sol 1 or Indico 2 drilling commencement...if this plays out for a few weeks news will out and influence target price either for better or worse...I'm hoping for better....

Yes M&P offered 17p but was rejected as undervalued. Most ppl expect something between 25-35p.
