Does FIL announcement today mean they are purchasing shares in the market on behalf of M&P??

TD

The IIs will be balancing best return against certainty of the deal going through.

For FIL, who wanted out, any price rather than on market selling, is a win, but no evidence to suggest that any of the other IIs are desparate.

Like us, they will want a return, particularly where they have been holding from 2016 and prior.

FIL already buying at 18p for M & P.

Charlieee would agree with that post and especially the last few lines adding Rodspotty to that list also.

Looking at most announcements it looks like institutions are happy to sell into prospective bid. Don't like that.

If and it is if they have been in communication with prospective bidder, but are happy to sell into the bid to keep the price down, it could herald a very cheap takeover

The city boys have clocked off from rampin’ it seems, and are now on their way home for their teatime jam sandwiches...

What I would say is that the share price has been sitting below 14p for over 4 months without any sort of mad rush to buy our giveaway cheap priced shares, so I don't see how everyone is suddenly falling over themselves to buy at 18p when they could have been stake building in the market quite easily if they all believed the story.

Having said that and to balance things out, I would also reckon that the risk at current levels is minimal for those hoping to make a quick buck, so all in all I'd still say that the upside from here outweighs the risk from the downside, however the shameless ramping nonsense should be treated with a pinch of salt imho.

As always though, us daftie PI's will be the last to know when something big happens whether that be positive or negative, so it's all still a case of pay your money takes your chance.......

Bit of a side issue but sterling likely to get cheaper and this is a dollar earner. AMER could look even cheaper if Sterling dives.

Question all.

M&P informally suggested a "possible offer" at 17p. Having had that "offer" rejected by Amerisur, M&P have now entered the Formal Sales Process.

Are M&P allowed to continue buying shares in the market now?
Presume yes - but any limit to what they can pay per share?

If Stifel as joint broker are showing buys and sells are they passing them on to Amer..?

M&P are insignificant in the larger scheme. Things will start to get interesting when one of the other 7 interested parties makes an offer.

Until then enjoy the attack on 20p

Curious whether anyone here has been buying today and whether the order(s) has/have been filled easily or it has been challenging to execute the order(s)? Given all the predictions of a minimum of 20p (if a deal is struck) why isn't there a more positive stance above the 17p offer tabled? There is at least 2.5p to be made (including costs), much more if some of the more optimistic targets are realized! Many thanks.
