The lows very simply explained: poor mkt sentiment, ‘forced’ II selling (rebalancing) and no marginal buyer at fair price (only heavily discounted).

I think what we need to establish here is WHY the share price was down at the 11p - 12p range in the first place ?

Most of us would agree that this was a ridiculous price, however the fact remains that it was indeed down there and people weren't exactly breaking their necks to "grab the bargain" as it were.

Digging deeper we should be wondering if the price was manipulated so low in order for this cheeky takeover bid to take place, or is there another reason lurking in the background to explain why it had gone so low ??

We all know the background stories of RH dumping to keep it low and we also know that Plat seems to have rather worrying depletion rates, however again I ask what else could be happening here ?

Why is GC entertaining bids at this virtual all time low (post chaco and plat production) ?

Why is GC looking to dump Ironveld when again this was being touted as a game changer not so long ago ?

There's definitely something bigger happening here and the only question is will the PI reap the rewards that many are hoping for ??

For the avoidance of doubt, I've been in Amer since the Chaco days but did sell most of my holding around the 40p mark, although I've continued to hold on to a few grands worth and have watched them drip down to silly levels along with everyone else.

As I say, I'm pretty sure there's much more going on here than any of us are currently aware......

They received an offer 35% above the share price at the time. Presumably, had they failed to disclose it, there would have been issues arising. This is a neat strategy. Blow the low ball offer out of the water and explore the options, injecting interest into a moribund share and then looking at where the chips fall.

GC has also put Ironveld up for sale as of about two to three weeks ago.

JW is also a huge investor in Ironveld via Tracarta and NH also involved.

There's definitely more to all of this than meets the eye............
