Just the start of a bullish period for oil prices. Supply side issues and debt-poor production model in the Permian well documented.

Production from Plat on the up with wells drawing from multiple zones we’re moving into an interesting production and exploration phase.

Share price down, management salaries up, lots of dilutive placings, rinse and repeat, you all know the story. Lemmings and mushrooms only now.

Given what has happened, there will be some rollovers and also, at this time of year, some bed and ISAs to use up spare allowances (and possibly, some disposals for CGT loss relief).

Overall, volume low.

So just to put a value on that u sand production of 680bopd works out at $10million profit per year and replicated over another five wells is an additional $50millon a year.

Yup Lucy, 7000 bopd at end of 2017, and targets of 9k for 2018 and 20000 for 2020. The original 7k target was before we struck oil at CPO-5, thats why we are at 14p!!!

"This allowed an 8 foot interval of the Lower U sand to be perforated and produced with existing production from the T sand. That interval is producing in a stable manner at 820 BOPD with an expected water cut of 17%. "

So the u sand is now contributing additional production of 680 bopd at plat. When that's replicated out over another five wells they could double production at plat over the next few months.

Yep agreed Lucy.If anyone thinks the dry well isn't going to cause a significant delay they are deluding themselves.

7000 was supposed to be "nailed on" 18 months ago. In fact, I recall it was, for 1 day.

Re another dry well - with 7,000bopd nailed on by mid summer I beg to differ. No one likes them but they’re essential to the learning, scoping/appraisal process.

Just aim it down the fairway. Until that basic plot is confirmed, hooking left or slicing right makes no sense at all. I hope JW went to India and told them to stop chasing rainbows. We seriously can't afford another dry well right now.

Assume the Ind-2 pad will also need to be prepared but with that massive rig still ‘on location’ they need to roll. New pad will also need surface storage facilities, then it’s...

“Camera, lights...and action!”

Another 50ft net pay would be nice, but any suggestion of continuation toward Mariposa, well the ocean of oil is set in a more N-S than E-W direction. As I said last week, plenty more to get after.

Now, where’s that ‘particularly difficult bloater’..? ;o)

Why would there be any need for any downtime?

Yep I don't think anything is imminent here except for the FY results.

Has Indico2 actually be confirmed? JW's under pressure to deliver bopd and he wants the drill plan changed but not sure this has been agreed with the operator.Typically about a month downtime between drills so 3-4 weeks until next spud.

will cash be down?
will OBA throughput be down?
will BOPD be down?
will BOD and wages be down?

When they compare 2018 results YoY it should look like we are moving in the right direction. The key question is cash. I am hoping the reduced drilling program in 2018 means lower spend and I am expecting it to be flat to interims. Any more would be great however a reducing cash pile will have me concerned.

I am still look for the RNS which say they have spudded Indico-2.
They are using the same drill pad, so what is the hold-up.
