It's like Indico-1 didn't flow commercially... that's the price we're back at (mid-Dec) immediately after discovery confirmed but not quantified. 15-16p I could understand 13-14 is just silly really but just shows how confidence disappears.

tsmith - actually you can SELL (not buy) well above the Bid!
Bid is 14.04 but MM now offering 14.12 for 250k, though I'm not selling

ross, agreed.
It would have been nice to have that yesterday but it sounds like the haven't finalized next steps with ONGC yet.

With accounts due on 9th April I presume they are in a closed period.

roll the dice

Yes it did state it but still surprising that they didn't reach an informal agreement before that. Nod and a wink sort of thing.

GTE must have spent a good sum on the getting the deal in the first place, so surprising it doesn't appear that they had informal talks with Amerisur.

Maybe if GTE had made on move on AMER then the right of first refusal would have been withdrawn. Although the cost was $19m it is now an asset. Unless the company want a T/O they need to come out fighting, otherwise a bid may come in below some investors average.

The GTE RNS did specifically state that the Put-8 transaction was "subject to a right of first refusal". It would be interesting to know how much of the $104m related to Put-8 though.

I'm still scratching my head why we fell 16% yesterday.Exploratory well which cost us say $3mn cane in dry. attributed value to it was 0.3pWe added 800plus BOPD plus 2 more perforations scheduled that will add say 500-1,000BOPD!

I am surprised that Amerisur were not involved in discussions with GTE before GTE announced the purchase of Put-8. You would have thought GTE would have known Amerisur had right of first refusal and would off the record discuss with them whether they intended to take up that right. Makes GTE look bad after announcing RNS on its acquisition. I too believe we might see them coming in on a deal.

Could have something to do with its Market Cap. of £22bn.

Isn't it funny that AMER falls 15% on the day that it announces that its 30%-owned well (Calao) is dry whereas its 70%-partner/well-operator ONGC continues to trade at its highest level for 2019?! It actually rose this week!
