Perhaps ONGC just took a punt and dragged us along for the ride. If so, perhaps we should sell them our interest as they may do so again....and again.

I’d have thought they’ll now be prioritising the structures in CPO5 ie Sol / Aguila as similar to Indico. No trap at Calao - it happens. Find the trap find the oil. Think they will now stick with the structural highs.

If Indico is a fully trapped the entire LS3 could be toppers - much deeper than current LKO. Another 100ft between friends. Which would have a very tidy 1P reserves addn for Indico.

Well, I was still out.

Despite the odd 'green shoot' there was little to suggest a recovery in the chart. Certainly not enough to buy, with no real movement above 17.00p and the 50 day SMA having turned down (resistance).

Back to watching and waiting...and it could be a long wait.

That's not entirely fair.

They would have had a good idea that it was a duster a few weeks ago, but they still had to drill to Total Depth, casing on the way (which takes time). Then they have to log it.

Only then can you be sure.

No Lucy, ONGC are operator so they dictate news flow.

Funny though how any success was JW's via ONGC and any failure is ONGC's, when I thought he was their leading light.

The reality is that an exploration well of which we have a 30% farm in failed to hit oil, although a little disappointing, it's certainly far from the end of the world as our cash cow and main source of income is our 100% owned Platanillo field which continues to produce excellent results.

"Amerisur and the Operator are currently integrating the results of this well into the general geophysical model while reviewing the model applied for the well Pavo Real-1. Meanwhile it is planned to drill a further appraisal well within the Indico structure."

Am I right in saying that the NEXT well is on Indico, and Pavp Real-1 will WAIT.

ONGC may have a different priority to AMER now. AMER want/need low risk wells that pay for themselves whereas ONGC may want to focus on testing new structures... 2019 drilling schedule already looks up in the air.
