03/8/2017 07:34 | The protests must more serious than they let on for them to stop production but as always the last to know. | francis55
03/8/2017 07:30 | The figure is more like $4.5 million US Dollars at 5000 barrels per day x $50 per bbl. Also one has to also take into account the well maintenance carried out would have had to have been carried out at some time. So the revenue is not necessarily lost just delayed! It is still a disappointing but not quite what some are trying to fabricate here!!! GLA | ulvers
03/8/2017 07:29 | no it says that is still the target. | pembury
03/8/2017 07:24 | I am so angry by this. Why weren't we notified sooner i.e. immediately. Yet again retail investors shafted on AIM. | retailronnie
03/8/2017 07:22 | 2017 guidance will obviously fall in interim results too so another opportunity to stomp on share price to come next month :( | rollthedice
03/8/2017 07:21 | Multiply by 6 and it should equate to £30m off the market cap (lol) | itsriskythat
03/8/2017 07:20 | Its £5m of revenue lost | itsriskythat
03/8/2017 07:18 | Flush out, | tsmith2
03/8/2017 07:17 | I suspect news that there was no production for half of July will go down like a lead balloon. | rollthedice
03/8/2017 07:14 | Sounds like they did a good job. I imagine they will see how the market reacts then a new update tomorrow or Monday | dave19w
03/8/2017 07:11 | Precisely. But in the long run, will have a minimal effect on company performance. Surprised no news re the acquisitions announced earlier in the year. | blackdown2
03/8/2017 07:09 | Well there's the "something we don't know about but others clearly did" ?! | the dark horse
02/8/2017 17:05 | Ladeside. Wouldn't surprise me. Near $50 oil and Amer @17.5p There is clearly something not quite right. | dayway123
02/8/2017 16:40 | AMER has never behaved like a normal AIM stock with tree shakes and dodgy dealings, generally because the shares were very tightly held both by the big hitters/ institutions and a close knit bunch of PI's. I must admit I am very surprised as to how we're stuck down at these levels and apart from RH selling down his very large holding, I seriously hope there's nothing untoward happening that we're not aware of. My biggest worry would be GC, JW and friends cutting some sort of backroom sell off deal, which benefits them, but not us, apart from that I'm happy to hold and add at these levels, as again (as far as we know) the company is fundamentally sound. | ladeside
02/8/2017 15:57 | My hunch is that it`s a massive shaking of the trees and justifiably for all the reasonable suggestions above. I don`t hang out for the `Thursdays` so readily. So just another day manana. | alfieduncan
02/8/2017 15:47 | But in my op market knows something we don't | harrisun
02/8/2017 13:46 | Charlie. Not GT but the adjacent oilfield seems to have no problem going through today. Someone else posted name of field some time ago | harrisun
02/8/2017 11:11 | Harrisun, If, by "anyone else" you mean Colombian exporters including Gran Tierra, they join the pipe line beyond RODA, where the capacity is much greater. If you mean the Ecuadorian outfits feeding into the system in the HR vicinity or upstream (in terms of oil transport), do you have figures for June 2017? Some, of course, is PAM itself and we did know from the presentation that they had increased usage, thus limiting excess capacity, until upgrades done. As they are also trying to hive off some of the areas round here (a lot of posts from Val on that and some info. on their website re 5000 BOPD operations), it is hardly going to assist the marketability if there is no export route for the product: it will be interesting if they manage to get a capital contribution, but that seems unlikely in the current market. Being cynical, whilst production and OBA capacity were in step, RODA capability might have just been a cover, but now that production is being stored, that "theory" no longer fits. "Short" also looks to have some relationship to storage capacity: you really would not be piling it up on site if there was no reasonable expectation of shifting it well before capacity was reached. | charlieeee
02/8/2017 09:23 | 4/5, 15/6, 5/7I guess JW was on holiday in June although I'm not holding my breath. | lucyp00p
02/8/2017 09:05 | The production update should be due anyday now....usually at the start of the month on a Wednesday or Thursday | laptop15
02/8/2017 08:16 | Charlie. What other company suggests a problem. It's still flowing oil from adjacent oilfields isn't it | harrisun
01/8/2017 19:51 | I'm not expecting anything great from the OBA update. The on-going maintenance/upgrades of the RODA system on the Ecuadorian side may well involve shutting in the OBA. Just a guess on my part and, of course, any production can be trucked to market in Colombia or put into storage. | bigwavedave |
