Skin, The retrace I mentioned is the one shown on the chart, a 50% retrace [to approx 590] of the recent move, which forms the flagpole. Obviously this morning the share price has retraced further.
The EOD candle will give more info.
The 700 target is calculated using a formula from Bulkowskis website on chart patterns and is related to the size of the previous move.
There is a possibility we are not looking at a flag at all. Just my interpretation.

Does anyone know why Allied Minds has taken such a hammering over the last 2 days? I was feeling confident about this stock and am trying to separate the noise from the signal.

Fishing for stops; I got stopped out at 610, will buy back at 500 or so, although I would not be surprised to see a bounce just before the close. With a spread as wide as this, it is great business for the MMs....

Only 250,000 shares traded (less than 1% of equity) but down 70p a share? What the hell is that about? A ridiculous over-reaction by the MMs for a company valued at well over £1Bn.

thank-you for this, but please explain...
A 50% retrace would take us to where? 50% of the high - circa 680 - would be 340.
Are you saying the share price might drop to 340?
or 50% of the recent rise from 500 to 680? ie 90.
Are you saying the share price might retrace from 680 to 590?
Your current target is 700? Why? Can you see that from your chart?
Are you saying there is likely to be a significant retrace followed by a bounce to 700?
Please explain

This is the flag on the 60min chart. Retraces often go up to 50%, so be prepared for volatility. 20 trading days is normally the maximum duration for this pattern to still qualify as a flag. If thinking of adding, confirmation is required, and this is indicated as an EOD close above the upper trendline. Current target approx 700.

My target is now £10.... I said 8 quid about a couple of months ago and look what has happened since!I didn't expect if for a few years though so this is just great. Nice to see a bit of press coverage too- maybe we have some new pr people

I now have a target of 700, based on the flagpole and flag/pennant that have formed over recent sessions on the hourly chart.

in this afternoons auction we had a buyer enter the auction, buying/bidding for 125,000 shares at/up-to 690p....
they withdrew their bid shortly before the auction completed,
nonetheless it showed a hand ;O)
