20/5/2015 07:38 | 16 mill ..at 565p ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Placing of Shares in Allied Minds plc ("Allied Minds" or the "Company") 20 May 2015 Further to the announcement released on 19 May 2015, Invesco Asset Management Limited, in its capacity as agent for and on behalf of its discretionary managed clients ("Invesco") has sold 16 million ordinary shares of Allied Minds (the "Placing Shares") at a price of 565 pence per share, raising gross sale proceeds of GBP90.4 million. The sale on behalf of Invesco was completed via an accelerated bookbuild to institutional investors conducted by Jefferies International Limited ("Jefferies") and Numis Securities Limited ("Numis") as joint bookrunners (the "Placing"). Allied Minds will not receive any proceeds from the Placing. Following settlement of the Placing, Invesco's discretionary managed clients are expected to hold approximately 34.5 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital. The proceeds of the Placing are payable in cash on usual settlement terms, and closing of the Placing is expected to occur on a T+2 basis on 22 May 2015, subject to the satisfaction or waiver of certain customary conditions. Invesco has indicated that, following completion of the Placing, it intends to remain a significant, long term shareholder of the Company. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | abcd1234
20/5/2015 06:44 | bambooeach to their own. I'm jaded about charts as I used them to buy and sell Varsu only to lose out on a takeover bid shortly thereafter. all the best andhope your strategy works. | r ball
19/5/2015 13:26 | Hydrus, thanks for the comments. The irony of of Balls' words is not lost on me. :) I think you are spot on saying that price action is driven by buying. In fact I think it is buying and selling pressure, or lack of it, that drives the share price in between news driven pricing. | bamboo2
19/5/2015 09:42 | Ignore it bamboo, no harm in posting charts. For what it's worth I disagree with both of you. I think the price action here is driven by buying - I suspect that buying is somewhat speculative and as this company is hard to value it's impossible to know how far this can go. | hydrus
19/5/2015 09:20 | R Ball, tbh, this is not really what you would call classical TA, say in the manner of Elliot Wave. I am working with chart patterns here, and I'll have a crack at reading any chart, from BP. to rates of football transfer fees. If this share is only news driven, can you help me out by informing me precisely what newsflow has caused the recent rise from 577 to 650? Or perhaps consider the previous 1:15mins, what news took the opening share price to where we are now? If you find the charts objectionable I would suggest you use the filter. | bamboo2
18/5/2015 17:22 | If the b/o from the pennant/triangle continues, share price could clear the trendline and target the ath. | bamboo2

08/5/2015 08:27 | Is this being shorted? All the small sells smack of someone trying to manipulate the share price | investordave
08/5/2015 08:01 | It's got to be under 20% maybe even as low as 10%.Let's hope for a blue day! Didn't enjoy that retrace yesterday | alasdair100new
07/5/2015 11:07 | Thanks danger. V helpful. Does anyone know what % of ALM's shares are in free float. It must be a low % I would have thought. | investordave
07/5/2015 09:50 | market cap isn't always correlated with liquidity. If a stock is tightly held then small volumes move it. This goes both ways, apart from a couple of higher volume days this has risen on the same low volume. Low liquidity is either a blessing or curse depending on whether you are long or short and the share price direction. Also the more tightly held and illiquid a stock is the more likely you are to get off market trading, so called 'dark pools.' While the point of a dark pool is that you trade without moving the price it can still affect supply and demand in the stock. | dangersimpson2
07/5/2015 08:41 | How can the share price of a £1bn+ company fall so much on such low volume. Bloody ridiculous | investordave
06/5/2015 19:37 | The chart shows a number of patterns, inc two potential H&S. They have completed within a broadening descending wedge. The share price has achieved its third touch on the lower trendline of the wedge that often acts as a buy point. The target in this pattern is at the recent ath. Bulkowski suggests a 79% chance of upward breakout, assuming correct ID on the pattern. imo. Currently no position. for more info on this pattern, check out Bulkowski's web page, | bamboo2
