Got it.
Perhaps they should drip feed us updates on new contracts with some information in one RNS and a bit more in the next a week later.
I can't see what additional detail is in today's RNS - can you?

Also, RNS Reach goes out wider audience than normal RNS. They are different sorts of announcements and hit wider media outlets.

What they said was that they would give more details soon. Now they have. End of point.

So why release an RNS telling us of contract wins that they already told us about a few days ago?
There must be a reason - the share price has gone up as a result.
They are not exactly flush with cash and the future right now is very uncertain.

So if they have cash and are trading at roughly a 35% discount to 4 months ago, why on earth would they want to do a placing? Just a nonsense comment when they have also just said that recent months have been hugely profitable.

Probably because any MD worth his salt has grasped this opportunity to raise money cheaply and in so doing royally shaft small shareholders, and trident5 doesn’t see why AIR should be different. However they do seem to have plenty of cash and perhaps some integrity so we might escape.

Maybe they have a placing in mind.

well it helps the momentum!

Still think this looks a crazy "in" price given the recent RNSs IMO....really not sure the market have cottoned on to the potential for earnings in the next 24 months (say)

Why are they re-announcing these contract wins?

Did any of the regular posters see anything in the online version of the IC on Air today?

What do folk think about the UK government's latest quarantine moves? It's reasonable to assume it's a bad thing for nearly all airlines as it's likely to lead to a demand reduction and hence supply (cancellation of flights) reduction - the side effect of which is that freight that may have been carried by the scheduled aircraft will now have to travel on dedicated (freight) aircraft (most of it does anyway). Clearly, the changes only affects flights in/out of the UK. Thus I'm presuming the effect on freight is positive for Air, in the short term at least. As for private jets, for now they should remain quiet (limited travel) but perhaps pick up soon when folk realise their is no short/medium term solution to the virus and the rich choose to avoid major airports - as others on the board have noted. Not sure about charter going forward - getting quieter I would presume now many of those stranded aboard will have been repatriated.

Still digging through the accounts/statements - I'm aware of the past issues - but the risk/reward looks reasonable.

Times of crisis and supply chain issues are golden times for charter companies. Just a shame AP aren’t stronger on the freight side. Too pax top heavy to really make the extravagant profits..

This will be a good year I expect, but not when you compare versus sector peers such as CF & ACS...

I'm in here, a bit late, but in. Looks to me like the freight side will continue, and this could be a huge year. DYOR. Counter intuitive given the lock-down, but this could absolutely fly, (if you'll pardon the terrible pun)

With that amount of profit in one quarter do people think it can be maintained? If so then surely it is super cheap? Thoughts please!

I sense freight side should continue, and as destinations open up the wealthy or wealthier will not want to go anything other than their own planes??

those with money will want to travel, they will want to travel privately as well IMO....this will start to make even more hay...DYOR

Steady accumulation of relatively small trades.
Minimal offer / bid ratio.

The previous update on April 1 stated that profit before tax for February and March was £2.4m. The latest update states that PBT for February-April was £6m. That means a PBT for April alone of £3.6m on the back of "unusually high" activity in freight and chartering. This update states that "high" activity is continuing into May and June. Should that "high" activity come anywhere near that of April, the PBT for the first five months, February-June, would almost certainly be well into double figures millions. Obviously, we don't know how the economic reprise is going to work out (although it seems likely to be gradual and perhaps hesitant and patchy) but AIR certainly looks to be very undervalued now.

If Mr Buffet will not fly ‘commercial217; again, does that mean he will not fly again?

Maybe he'll buy another B-H aircraft? No! No! Charlie is sworn to physically restrain him if that looks likely.

Muckshifter, my point was that the alternative might favour personal charter - your own deeply cleansed aircraft, no plebs, when you wish and to where you want to go. When cost is no concern.
