15/7/2020 09:35 | No need, fully funded - check last accounts. Normal value is 1pThe also have CLNs at 1p and at 3.29pA number of these have been converted and they can call on another £16 million | isa2020

15/7/2020 09:00 | Looks very much like a discounted placing on the way? | 74tom
15/7/2020 08:31 | Dropped over 13 percent, on just 1,5 million shares, when there's over 1,2 billion, large amount not on market. Not a lot of shares on the open market. This could move up just as fast.As news waits on permit, (which is secondary) production from over revenue streams are increasing.Partner in Canada, going forward too.Revenue from royalties in the next few months, with a potential of new licenses. Note : AEGplc is mid to long term investment. | isa2020
08/7/2020 08:41 | Going to keep tabs on our partner in Canada | isa2020

07/7/2020 11:12 | Do you mean the recent 2 x licenses British Columbia and Alberta - they were also trying to buy a plant in Nova Scotia but looks like that will not happen due the local authorities not sure what they are doing with the site AEG will probably lose Newfoundland if don't hurry up and start cutting very soon! | grsshaw1
07/7/2020 10:39 | 26 November 2018 Active Energy Group Plc ('Active Energy' or the 'Company') Restoration of Trading and Grant of Commercial Timber Permits Active Energy, the London quoted international biomass based renewable energy and forestry management business, announces that further to its announcements of 19 November 2018 and 22 November 2018, trading in the Company's ordinary shares on AIM will resume with effect from 1:30p.m. today (Monday 26 November 2018). The Board of Active Energy confirms that its subsidiary, Timberlands International ('Timberlands International') through its local operating company Timberlands International (Newfoundland and Labrador) Inc ('Timberlands Newfoundland'), was formally issued two five-year Commercial Timber Permits ('CTPs') for Forestry Management Areas 17 and 18 by the Ministry of Fisheries and Land Resources of the Crown Province of Newfoundland and Labrador (the 'Ministry') on Friday 23 November 2018. The CTPs are issued with a five-year revolving renewal facility relating to a total Annual Allowable Cut ('AAC') of 100,000 cubic metres per annum, which equates to 500,000 cubic metres over five years. In addition, the CTPs specify certain standard conditions including the species, class and volume of timber that may be cut and the locations from where such timber may be cut. The Ministry had approval to grant the CTPs on 16 November 2018. At that time, Timberlands Newfoundland had not been granted the CTPs as their issue was still subject to the formal acceptance by Timberlands Newfoundland of certain standard conditions relating to the CTPs. Following meetings between representatives of the Company and the Ministry last week, the details relating to the formal grant of the CTPs (including acceptance of the standard permit conditions) were then finalised on Friday 23 November 2018. Active Energy Chief Executive Officer, Michael Rowan, said, "The Board of Active Energy is delighted with this outcome and we are looking forward to working with the Ministry in Newfoundland. Further announcements will be made as appropriate." | garth
07/7/2020 10:39 | 2 zones, I forget the numbers. Would have to check. G. | garth
07/7/2020 09:52 | Question, how many and what zones does RMDE, AEGplc partner in Canada have? | isa2020
03/7/2020 09:16 | Chipman, "AEG to my mind is the Tesla of biomass technology" I like. I too am sitting on considerable losses here. But once they get it away I cannot see how it isn't eventually valued at many many multiples of where we are today. G. | garth
03/7/2020 08:51 | My average is 4.5p, I bought some years ago im convinced this is a winner despite being painful to hold for so long while it sorts itself out. Couldn't afford to average down much but I do understand this industry and I am still convinced I will not regret holding. Its difficult to glean what is happening with this company due to lack of communication but the trend based on the energy markets has to be positive. Scale is the main worry I always had but with real cash paid for license in Canada where there is vast forestry and waste wood available it tells me there is something big coming. Enviva in America and in Canada pinnacle and others are growing aggressively and the product they make is frankly neanderthal. AEG to my mind is the Tesla of biomass technology and could if handled correctly grow up in a huge way. Someone is buying now so must know something we don't I reckon this is ready to return to the level it was at before and then fly past it IMHO | chipman1
03/7/2020 08:24 | Higer prices than yesterday already being paid. They are going to look cheap, IMO. G. | garth
02/7/2020 16:01 | I had wondered whether the drop back to 0.82 was an attempt to pick up some stock. It seemed an opportune time to buy the dip. G. | garth
02/7/2020 15:28 | Not sure it was a rollover jailbird - unless it was yours :-) The price went straight up on small volume triggering a bunch of sells which was needed to fill both the orders put on this morning or yesterday and they are happy to pay 1.08 to secure the quantity You may be right but if so why did the share price rise quickly and then it fell back afterwards - if they are in-fact both buys this is positive as highlights there is not too much stock about (maybe that gap coming into play I mentioned earlier) and if you want higher volume you are going to have to pay much higher than the current market price Be interesting to see if this happens again - I am predicting it will! | grsshaw1
02/7/2020 14:52 | 3.5m was a rollover trade btw | jailbird
02/7/2020 14:43 | Rns coming! I I reckon | sharif1987
02/7/2020 13:41 | Thank you for taking the time to post that grs. Points well made. And yes Isa - some chunky volume for AEG. The rerating should be something to behold as it gathers pace, IMO. G. | garth
02/7/2020 13:27 | Largest buys going on3 percent is 38mSo we may see RNSs soon. | isa2020
02/7/2020 12:48 | Sorry in advance for the long post Re the meeting, at the end of the day usually the only people who turn up to speak at these events are to voice their objections - same of planning permission with the local councils In my opinion it was a fully planned out meeting to ensure they all targeted different objections to cover as many points (after all they did have plenty of time to organise it didn't they!) They really wanted to delay it further as they felt they should meet in public and not online - they even had people register to speak who couldn't get through due to poor broadband in the area - and someone even made a comment about this that people couldn't speak - hmmm! Not sure why they didn't use the old fashioned phone In my opinion they didn't do their homework on the benefits of Biomass and more importantly the Coalswitch technology and what it can offer in the market as a green alternative to coal as well as even more beneficial than standard white pellets. AEG also have other green technogly in development - litter/peat switch. Instead the concentration was to try and make AEG look bad by polluting and cutting down trees and on top of this focused on poor financial history. They were even digging up dirt on the JV with the power station next door Anyway looking into the detail and information I am quite confident AEG will receive the permit but will have strict testing and monitoring as the plant is being constructed Even one of the objectors legal representatives recently said that it was probably too late in the day to stop this but there needs to be strict measures in the place to manage pollution etc.. Which I fully agree with TBH as I don't want to invest in a polluting company, after all the main reason I invested in AEG was the benefits to the climate. Bear in mind the permit was already granted on 15th Jan 2020 with an expiration-date Dec 2027 - see below link. You might need to replace the 'xx' with 'tt' hxxps://files.nc.gov In my opinion it only went to a public meeting as DEQ are fully aware of the size of the targeted plant. Once this is passed they can then obtain the actual pollution rate from the 5tph plant and provide onsite results to prove its not an issue. I remember hearing a little while back from an interview that AEG may even look at installing solar panels at the Lumberton site! My opinions only please do your own research! This may help also - see below a written response to an article written by Lisa Sorg who is objecting The gentleman's name who wrote this is Richard! My understanding is coal switch burns hotter and cleaner than traditional wood pellets which should be phased out. AEG have stated they produce 2nd generation biofuels. Made entirely of waste wood from the timber yard and any organic waste they can source, eg agricultural crop waste, burnt timber from Forrest fires etc etc, the point is not to use lumber as its too valuable a resource to waste, hence the timber yard. Lumberton residents cut down the timber, and its up to Lumberton to manage the forests properly. This is not AEGs responsibility. The emissions were sampled when the coal switch plant was operational in Utah. AEG have a good idea of what the emmissions will be as stated and can be confirmed during monitoring. Perhaps the other polluting businesses in Lumberton should be approached and told to reduce emmissions? AEG will have state of the art emission filters and reducers to keep pollutants to a minimum. Do other businesses in Lumberton do thr same? AEG are in Lumberton as its a strategicly significant place for global trade with a suitable pool of labour. Personally I want to see fossil fuels especially coal phased out and believe cleaner renewables like coal switch is a fantastic bridge fuel to get us to a cleaner future. Green energy from solar, eind and hydrogen won’t happen overnight but coal needs to be replaced now. For the next 20 years while we transition to a cleaner greener futurecoalswitch could be that bridging fuel. Give the permit and monitor emissions. All other issues such as flooding etc is about forestry managment, the tree’s will be cut regardless, the waste from timber will give off carbon etc as it rots naturally. AEG captures that waste and gives it a purpose. | grsshaw1
02/7/2020 11:10 | Good points garth and I see how it could be seen negatively if not issued soon. one aeg guy against dozens of naysayers on a phone is a hiding to nothing I heard some of the comments and just gave up the agenda was clear and the set up allowed for it. so much nonsense and calculated attacks they had no idea at all what they were arguing against in the round and that aeg probably supporting in may ways there own ideals. as of last results aeg has legs now already and should see a run up if not to Spinks price levels at least half way there or more if permit comes through. lets hope so I've been here a long time waiting | chipman1
02/7/2020 10:40 | chipman, I don't disagree with any of that except that it does make a significant difference to potential perceptions if they can't get a clean air permit for manufacture of a fuel replacement being marketed (correctly, I believe) as a green alternative to coal. AEG had representation at the meeting. That representation was not as articulate as one might might have hoped. That's not great when we are so many months on from when construction should have started. Again, all that said, as the Angel note makes clear and as the latest securing of funds underlines - the permit is not needed in the short term for this to become cash generative. And at that point it really is away and running. G. | garth
02/7/2020 09:55 | Almost the entire '19 revenue was license revenue. Probably the least effort too. They need and surely must be fielding offers off the back of Rmde deal many of these? The revenues in the research notes is good also, so lumberton increasing volumes of already operating simple business, rental income, new deal on the wood business from rns and then even one or two more license deals will nail this on and make it a definite rerate way beyond nominal 1p. As far as the who can shout the loudest meeting about a permit for a machine of no scale, im a buyer regardless, this is not a factor other than on here and other chat rooms. nice to have is all, they'll need to probably get a bigger permit right away anyway to do something meaningful as it'll likely be several times bigger? Agree that noise on the call was just arguing and to be expected when you give 2 minutes to a crowd of environmental campaigners, isa2020. I agree on focus being wrong this is running now and won't be stopped if Canada moves or extra shifts come on in lumberton or if more licenses are announced they for me are free money at this point. | chipman1
02/7/2020 09:45 | The focus is miss aligned. Permit is important however AEG made profit without selling a CoalSwitch, look at the other revenue streams.Licensing and royalties, from Partners YLF PeatSwitch, Rail ties etc. When people base actions and decisions on emotions, ( "Reasoning will never make a Man correct an ill Opinion, which by Reasoning he never acquired" Jonathan Swift 1721 ) AEG may find it hard to educate individuals. The argument of not having or having to raise funds is not a environmental question. It is what it is, arguing! | isa2020 |
