17/2/2020 11:25 | The un factual article, maybe a blessingAs it doesn't even mention test results from Utah or Poland. Many people are going to base what they read - which in itself isn't good for AEGplc, however - the article should be amended (unlikely) drawing eyes to AEGplcOr when it comes to 16 of March, when all the facts are put on the table, Poland/EU Environmental Clearance, Utah University testing etc, the environmental argument impact would change. As it would show, they are not informed of the facts, a plus to AEGplc. In an ideal world, would be nice for AEGplc to start the meeting on a positive, however that's not realistic, someone going to complain - our competition is going to make some noise somewhere to slow things down. | isa2020

17/2/2020 10:47 | given this awkward rns and the out of no where open public letter, what is the chance of permit delay? just in case! | placing

17/2/2020 10:32 | Thank you for the link."we will be operating well below any threshold required in the permit by virtue of the recapturing/abating equipment adopted'That sounds to me like they may already know what the permit says and can work well within it.G. | garth
17/2/2020 10:25 | Dear Ms. Sorg, I serve as a Director for AEG, PLC and live in North Carolina. As a company involved in the Renewable Energy industry, Active Energy Group is a firm proponent of a green economy and perfectly understands the concerns that emerge with the growth of the biomass industry (both from the perspective of the scientific claims and due to potential impacts on local resources and communities where operations are located). Our understanding drives our effort to develop integrated systems that can, through a mix of new technologies, low impact logistics, sustainable resources and fair business practices, truly qualify as renewable. Toward this end we seek to avoid confusion and thus are compelled to help further inform you and assist with clarifying the incorrect assumptions used to substantiate your article about our initiative in Lumberton, NC. Our small R&D pilot plant (5 tph) which is not a white pellet mill, is going to be developed with the goal to prove that a carbon neutral/negative zero/low emission approach can be achieved in the industry. The higher energy dense clean fiber-based steam exploded pellet, CoalSwitch TM, when used for energy production (as proven by independent test runs with the University of Utah) will not generate more emission than coal and provide the added benefit of greatly reducing or eliminating the emission of Sulphur Oxides and other harmful emission. Furthermore, our CoalSwitch TM process will allow the sourcing of feedstock from waste/ residual fiber streams and the use of locally grown energy crops with an annual or even semiannual rotation for a truly carbon neutral approach. Further, there is the possible benefit of reclaiming marginal lands and/or developing other socially useful and responsible projects such as afforestation/refore Moreover, the final stages of our process will explore the energy generation of the whole system requirements by harnessing solar and in the longer term, the use of an electric fleet for transportation. As our first analysis indicates, these opportunities should qualify it, albeit modestly, as carbon negative. Lastly, regarding the local impact of the manufacturing plant in Lumberton, we will be operating well below any threshold required in the permit by virtue of the recapturing/abating equipment adopted. We hope that this brief explanation will at least highlight the systemic and responsible approach AEG intends for developing its initiative in Lumberton. As a company we welcome any open and factual dialogue. We have engaged in earnest with the local community since we became interested in the property and well prior to acquisition. I invite you to contact AEG for further information you might require. Sincerely A.Esposito | grsshaw1

17/2/2020 10:13 | I think the Environmental concerns in the article have good intentions but a little more research about what AEG is doing, where its target markets are and where we fit as a small but useful piece of the no sun, no wind debate would have been better. I have slagged this company off for the past two years but even i have stopped to give them a chance....a final chance. IF run with any professionalism this could be a big multi bagger stock. | rocketfuel1
17/2/2020 09:41 | nice chunks going on, keep it up... | rumobejo
17/2/2020 09:38 | "But some individuals and lobby groups will, naturally, be against it." People will moan about anything but are irrelevant. | ileeman
17/2/2020 09:03 | why the just didn't put it in the rns, hmm... | rumobejo
17/2/2020 08:16 | PT, I can see a link in "Investors" to say that they have released a letter, but not the letter itself... I am of the opinion that the evidence we have available suggests the opposite - Carolina support the plant. But some individuals and lobby groups will, naturally, be against it. G. | garth

17/2/2020 07:42 | It's nothing you don't already know But gives no detail about the "factually incorrect " article My assumption is that "North Carolina "are against AEG's coal switch plant | plumbertrade

17/2/2020 07:38 | Why do companies do this, why not just provide a direct link on the RNS, really lazy IMO | teraferma
17/2/2020 07:35 | I've asked them via their website. | skinny
17/2/2020 07:19 | I can't see it on their website! it should be on the home page if its an open letter. This is so frustrating! | hammer28
17/2/2020 07:16 | Can't see it in the Investor section.I assume it is in response to the piece of creative writing the link was provided to over the weekend. They hadn't even done enough research to get the pellet picture right. They showed white pellets, AEGs are black. Different manufacturing process.G. | garth
17/2/2020 07:06 | One found the open letter on the website? | teraferma
16/2/2020 13:41 | Difficult to imagine AEG won't be given the permit given the quote from local authorities personnel. Robeson County Manager, Kellie Blue said, "North Carolina and Robeson County are committed to a sustainable future and welcome businesses with environmental goals, like AEG. We look forward to supporting AEG, its activities at the Lumberton Site and AEG's aim of transforming residual biomass material into high-value carbon neutral fuels for the power industry. We continue to support AEG through the final stages of the Permit approval process." | cottoner
16/2/2020 13:15 | Added another 500k after the pullback from 0.69p Friday, hard to imagine this doesnt trend towards 1p especially with the permit meeting penciled in for 16th of March. | ileeman |
