Encouraging update. Supports recent recovery in the stock. Back up to the 170 - 180 level today. Looked set to break out just a few days ago so expect that to be tested again.

6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other. Not at all impressed. 145 should offer a modicum of support.

Taken in line with Governor Andrew Bailey's comments from last night I can see further headwinds ahead.

Staying well away from stock markets until investors rediscover their nerve (after Budget/US Elections /maybe)Who knows ?

Pound to dollar dropped earlier today indicating that a weaker pound implies a further base rate cut expected.

Certainly, all my shares are up today - with the exception of DGE

Looking at my Int. Inv. SIPP holding in ABDN and at the charts in the header of this thread and I see that just at this moment (09:09) the buy sell spread is

165p buy 154p sell

That is a far bigger spread than I have seen previously. Anybody any ideas why?

Back of an envelope workings suggest to me

That seems to tie in very nicely with the UBS prognosis for PHNX which are not entirely unrelated due to the 10% cross holding.

Am staying out still the present markets and lack of any meaningful movement after ex dividend suggests we are in for a few more lacklustre weeks.
