Subject to a successful sale of business outcome, we anticipate that there would be a dividend to unsecured creditors, however, the quantum is currently unknown.

Sale of business
As alluded to above, we commenced a sale of business process shortly after appointment. We have contacted nearly fifty large pharmaceutical businesses and smaller biotechnology companies (including other prominent players in the microbiome space).

Due to the commercial sensitivity of this sales process, we can only provide limited narrative as to the exact progress to date. Offer deadlines have been set with all interested parties and the details of indicative offers received cannot be disclosed subject to confidentiality agreement provisions.

Alongside the above sale of business activity, we continue to explore the possibility of a refinance of the Group and an exit from administration. Similarly to above, progress here is confidential and updates will be made available to creditors at the appropriate time.

Should no viable offers emerge during the sale of business process, our strategy will likely be to minimise costs to preserve the Company's main asset, floating charge cash, and realise the Company's other assets.

Guess who makes the most out of this!
"From the date of our appointment to 28 July 2022, we have incurred time costs of £580,488. These represent 876.65 hours at an average rate of £662.12 per hour."

Bargain?

It pays to be red pilled. For instance I knew to avoid all the pharma's in the race to develop covid therapeutics as I knew nothing would be allowed to get in the way of the covid jabs. I traded them on the excitement but I didn't hang around to find out the results of the trials because I knew they would be made to fail. I take your point though

You need to be careful with reading too much into those type of articles Katsy, they'll play tricks on your mind when trading/investing and its won't be productive to yourself in the monetary sense either!

Noone was blindsided as it was stated in no uncertain terms a year earlier but if the companies too shortsighted to leave it until the very last moment then you have to adhere to the consequences that follow...

And FatGreek, if you live by the sword then unfortunately you have to die by it too but a lesson no doubt not to catch a falling knife as the market is rarely wrong regardless of what one believes!

4D board do seem stupid beyong logic, a bit like Tony Manini at ARS although I would
accuse the later of being a leach whereas 4D had a lot of skin in the game.

I think the management were completely blind sided by Oxford pulling the rug. When they approached them 23rd/24th June about not being able to make payment I am sure they naively assumed that Oxford would make some accommodation for their position and allow time to explore fundraising options.

I see AGL managed to raise GBP20M today. So begs the question just how useless were the bod. Or was the new CFO placed there by Oxford to ensure they went bust.

Quite obvious it was engineered. If you are as despereate as 4D were to raise funds, you just do a primary bid raise and get the money you need at whatever price, just to secure your survival.
