XLD gets a very brief mention in today's Shares mag, in a feature on takeover prospects for 2007. They mention Petra Diamond's strategic stake, and suggest that Petra might be interested in taking XLD over if they find significant resources. Doesn't tell us anything we don't already know, but it's nice to see that XLD are on some people's radar.

mnnn I topped up from the crash to 26p which helped to averaged down from the ipo price. Lets hope the good news of a productive site is just around the corner, so far the signs are promising.

Don't know - but I like it!

All I can suggest is that another large buy is going through or has gone through, but has not been reported yet.

My average buying price is 42p, so I'm not in profit yet - but should get there soon at this rate.

ok lisafl, then explain this mornings anamoly ( star trekkie speak lol) no trades yet up 5.5%. Bid moved so does this mean m makers feel something big is about to happen and that people will scramble for the shares? or is it to encourage sellers as mm's want more stock ?

guesses on a postcard to.......

Either they weren't really sells (ADVFN's system guesses whether or not trades are buys or sells, and often gets it wrong), or there is a large buy waiting to be filled somewhere in the background, that we don't know about yet. Today's price rise is a good sign - it looks like a continuation of the buying that started before Christmas. Note that lots of people only went back to work today after the Christmas break.
