17/12/2006 13:38 | xceltdiam.. oh I get it, excel diamonds. phoarr. I suppose there is a case for buying into this share to hope for diamondiferous traces in the bulks, because if so, why should they not also gain a J/V with De Beers or Billiton? that would put a rocket under the sp, even if it came to little at a later date. Of course the 3 miles by 4 feet thick gravel find ' had produced diamonds' from earlier working on a small section of it. The gravel mining would be open cast, so easy and cheap... PS - are the indigenous miners nearby in fact finding 'diamonds' ? It would help ! at least XLD hold 40% of the kimberlite and 39 % of the gravels soncessions...consid | hectorp
17/12/2006 12:10 | not any interest here which given PETRA share price rise is very surprising. interesting times ahead if the bulk samples everybody is going on about at PDL are good, this little un-noticed stock could outperform them all........... thoughts please. | sitiain

24/10/2006 09:23 | Xceldiam says found 200,000 cubic metres of alluvial gravel resource at Luangue LONDON (AFX) - Xceldiam Ltd said trenching results at its Luangue Concession in Angola have revealed 200,000 cubic metres of alluvial gravel resources and combined open-ended strike lengths of more than 8 kilometres. The diamond exploration firm said it has now started bulk sampling for grade assessment and economic evaluation. Mapping of the trenching in the Canguvo area of the concession has revealed soil of 1.16m gravel thickness, occurring for over 3 km along strike. A mobile sampling plant has been commissioned for pre-concentration of the stockpiled Canguvo gravels ahead of processing during October and November for diamond recovery and grade assessment. In the Sampoio-Ngombo area, two alluvial occurrences, a 0.5 metre thick flood plain gravel and a 1 metre thick terrace gravel over a 5 km strike length were found in earlier drilling exercises. Trenching is now underway and is being extended to sample gravel horizons along the entire strike length. "A small section of this target area was previously worked by small scale artisanal miners and is known to have produced good value diamonds," the drilling update said. Chief Executive Tim George said: "Work in the months ahead will define the full extent of the resources and the economic mining potential with a view to a production decision in early 2007. "The information derived from the alluvials will also be useful in the ongoing drilling programme of the kimberlite occurrences around the alluvial deposits where we have completed over 1,000m of core drilling." newsdesk@afxnews.com | din007
16/10/2006 13:38 | jeremyd - the june figures stated a cash balance of $14m, which I crudely approximated to £8m sterling. With these shares news flow is king and any absence of positive news (especially cash flow news) is gonna send the shares lower as there are no buyers atm. | mdchand
13/10/2006 16:11 | Beg to differ mdchand june 30th figures are in US$ so i think ntav more like 15p a share and cash £5mill - still not bad though - that is until some lunatic broker with a forced seller traded at 15p today -250000 i am reliably told- nice bid if you can get business like this or unless the seller has a lot more or knows more? time will tell i guess - but either these will go lower now on that print when we see it- In the absence of anything bad will give me a chance to add closer to ntav | jeremyd
