29/4/2015 19:40 | The board changes are worrying. Last year Ramon Borrell, the R&D boss, lost his job on the board, and seemed to have been replaced by Creutzmann who has now quit. This would not be so bad but Borrell had been a big investor in Xaar’s shares, investing £344,000 last year on 81,000 shares at £5, £4.20 and £2.46. As a result he was the biggest shareholder of any member of the executive board. Earlier this year, Xaar’s awarded share options to leading members of its executive team below board level. Borrell was not included. Now that Creutzmann has gone, and Borrell has been demoted, who is in charge of developing and commercialising Xaar’s new technology? I really want to believe that Doug Edwards, Xaar’s new ceo, is going to revitalise this company, but am worried that having been reorganised out of a job at Kodak he has now landed a plum job at Xaar. I hope to attend Xaar’s AGM on May 13th to get a sense of whether the new CEO has the right stuff. However, the AGM is being held at 9.30am at the Company’s HQ on a Cambridge science park. Hardly, the sort of timing to encourage the attendance of a private investor. | bottomfisher
27/4/2015 14:57 | Edmund was only employed about 12 months ago. Apparently he was hired by the old CEO whilst now there is a regime change at the top. What is especially puzzling is the fact Edmund bought about £20k worth of shares only a few weeks ago. That tells me that whatever the official reason for his departure, it must have been coming out from the deep blue. If the above logic is true, then one can imply that the guy did not resign but was rather helped to leave. Not clear what it may mean over the longer term but will continue to carefully observe the unfolding events here. | tongosti

24/4/2015 10:14 | 8 month highs close to being made here today CR | cockneyrebel
24/4/2015 01:43 | The chart from November last year at its low to the present looks like it is heading in the right direction. If we have a positive update as brambuz80 noted then XAR could really take-off an recover nicely. Let's hope the next significant RNS is a good one! | lauders
23/4/2015 16:53 | Close to testing that recent high CR | cockneyrebel
23/4/2015 16:52 | The EMA (200) is sitting at 428.62p and has acted as a resistance level today. I think if the shareprice manages to close above this level then the next stop would be 450p. There is a gap on the chart from 450p to 550p that could be filled rapidly if good news are released (last year a trading update was provided on the 16th April). MACD is in positive territory and the RSI does not indicate overbuy. Hopefully good times ahead in the next month or so. Cheers | brambuz80
22/4/2015 01:44 | Next leg-up beginning? Let's hope the next update is a positive one. | lauders
21/4/2015 11:01 | Earthshaking volume here today...Not | brambuz80
20/4/2015 17:56 | There was an Interim Management Statement released 16th April last year...I would expect a similar update this year... | brambuz80
20/4/2015 16:26 | Volume is incredibly low. Does anyone know when the next trading update is due? | liam1om
20/4/2015 15:07 | Back-test of the 400p level today? If it closes above it I would expect this to be a new strong support | brambuz80

10/4/2015 06:13 | cup and handle provides target of £6 in due course, IMHO. | stoxx67
10/4/2015 02:55 | Hope you are correct CR. It may well be worth topping up on any strength going forward. Not quite sure yet, but the chart is looking more positive now & it may pay handsomely down the line! One of your bowls forming too, so a good omen? | lauders
09/4/2015 10:56 | 445p monthly triangle. The gap is 450p-560p. | matt123d
09/4/2015 10:20 | Broken out and found good support at this level now imo Lauders: free stock charts from uk.advfn.com I think when it pulls away from this level it will be pretty sharp imo. The recent director buying from several directors is encouraging imo. All imo CR | cockneyrebel
08/4/2015 02:17 | Every little bit helps I suppose CR. Would be nice to see larger buys but I still think Xaar is a long-term hold. Should have sold out when it reached 1100p though and not stuck to my long-term policy then! Not really a trader though! | lauders |
