30/11/2010 10:09 | Thanks for that broomsticks.Hopefull Earning nearly five times more than the second largest retailer, Walmart won't relinquish its position as the number one retailer anytime soon. The retail giant is focusing on global expansion, green initiatives and a store refresh program called Project Impact to ensure it stays on top of the retail heap with solid growth. Project Impact could be of particular relevance to WSI if their TASK MANAGEMENT solution is enrolled, either directly,or via Infor's Workbrain. Mud. | mudbath
29/11/2010 17:31 | The offer by Walmart of $2.4bn to Massmart for 51% of the company is nearing a conclusion. It looks like being a positive one for Walmart and by association for Workplace Systems International. WSI software may well play a part in Walmart's negotiations with Saccawu which this month handed Massmart CEO Grant Pattison a set of demands, including that employment conditions remain intact. Apparently there could be a moratorium on any retrenchments. Variables to be taken into account will include SA Labour Law. Tricky!! aimo, dyor | broomsticks
24/11/2010 23:26 | mudbath, Thank you for posting that excellent write-up it made informative reading. I believe that an Interim Report is due to be released in a couple of days and I hope that it proves to be as informative as Arty's write-up. | broomsticks
23/11/2010 22:55 | Retired moi !!! No I'm simply keeping a watching brief at present muddie. Sold out a few months back for other opportunities, but I will no doubt return when things start hotting up which may well be soon ! | arty
22/11/2010 23:34 | mudbath, I am sure that the "anoraks" are correct in their opinions of Workplace Systems International's technology. It is not long since I realised the potential of this company and I have not, as yet, carried out much research. I ascertain that there are two main parts to this organisation one of which is the technology but the other and the one which interests me the most is the organisational structure which includes the management because no matter how good the technology it doesn't sell itself. Having said all that, the two main parts and their divisions are all intertwined and as far as I can ascertain this structure provides the company with the ability to use its knowledge and skills with great precision of timing and to the best effect. aimo, dyor | broomsticks
22/11/2010 15:10 | Buys going through, possible news leak? | broomsticks
20/11/2010 10:14 | Despite the share sales totalling 331,600 on Thursday, the market continued to bid 12.05 pence for stock all day on Friday. Most promising for the future share price trend imo. broomsticks,it was this version that I was alluding to in an earlier post.I cannot quite grasp though whether it is a pure SaaS solution like OnLine. My latest understanding from "anorak" chatter is that the WSI 100% hosted solution still stands apart and ahead of the competition. | mudbath
18/11/2010 14:27 | Infor recently released version 5.1 of Work Force Management WorkBrain which in the retail industry alone reaches over 4.7 million associates across 140 brands. | broomsticks
18/11/2010 12:27 | You have put some work in on this Mud. I have 'faith' that you are right. Its exciting for me because this is the 'bigone'in terms of stockholding. | firth
18/11/2010 10:18 | Although a partner to Infor;with WSI technologies powering Infor's WorkBrain Task Management solution;WorkPlace is also direct and successful competitor of Infor, particularly in N America.November has seen a big push by Infor to counteract WSI's recent U.S expansion, with its current advertising mirroring that of WSI's:- November 7th 2010 "Infor WFM Workbrain (Workforce Management) Product Spotlight Deploy and maintain the right workforce at the right time. Infor WFM Workbrain Workforce Planning Learn how to cut costs, time, and errors from the budgeting and planning process with Infor WFM Workbrain Workforce Planning. Download the brochure. You need tools that that help you: * Spend less time on workforce administration. * Lower your payroll expenses. * Anticipate demand and coverage accurately. * Track your employees' performance. * Comply with labour laws and corporate directives. * Automate all of your pay rules. IMO it would make sense for Infor to absorb WSI.Could be that they are just waiting to ascertain the level of traction that WSI is gaining in N America before acquiring our company, its technology and their client list including Walmart. Which ever way this plays out,we should see a strong share price In fact the market is currently bidding ABOVE MID PRICE for stock. This should indicate that an upwards movement is on its way. Mud. 15/11/2010 19:17 | Yes a very short pullback. Very nice! | battlebus
15/11/2010 10:44 | Thats the "pullback" seemingly over then battlebus. Once again it has become almost impossible to buy WSI stock. Should WorkPlace cause a flurry of interest with their impending interims, then the only way for the share price is vertically upwards.imo. Mud. | mudbath
08/11/2010 16:55 | This needs a healthy pullback before we can motor on imho. | battlebus
08/11/2010 16:20 | Agreed, but its still showing -25p on the day. Should be less than that. | firth
08/11/2010 15:57 | Going down thats what it means. | battlebus
08/11/2010 15:43 | Strange goings on here. 2 sell trades today [minor] at 12.76. I have just bought 15,000 and paid less than the sell trades 12.74p | firth
05/11/2010 23:12 | I know bb,I know. Just need STL to 10 bag and I hit the front!! Mud. | mudbath
05/11/2010 18:31 | Well this has helped your abcd Mud 20% V 12.1% well done! | battlebus
05/11/2010 11:33 | Well you may be right Mudbath, but the fact remains they have lost all the 50k that they got in this am,apart from 9 thousand. They have had to go to 12.75 to get them against a quote of 12.50p. | firth
05/11/2010 09:31 | Looking at the graph,I would suggest that the share price might come off the top today, with possibly a couple of downward movements, enabling the stock to settle,in the short term, at around 12.34 pence. | mudbath
05/11/2010 09:21 | Fair enough, they certainly did not have much stock yesterday. As the price goes up I expect they will always find somebody to sell them some. The MM must have a lousy book at the moment! | firth
05/11/2010 09:11 | I can buy 15k at 13.25 with broker now so that must have been a buy fIRTH. | battlebus
05/11/2010 08:58 | They might have stock now a sell order or delayed trade . | battlebus
05/11/2010 08:55 | Another thing that does not add up. This buy trade 8.10 today 18thousand plus at 13.25p Where are the MM getting there shares from? Yesterday once again it was 95% buys. A friend rang me yesterday he tied to buy 20k and was told it would be 14p. He took half for 13.25p in the end. I find it hard to belief that the first trade up today is nearly 19k at 13.25p. | firth |
