All the major branded websites have been quite steady in the alexa rankings..
My feeling is that as expressed in the interims.. `Ingram may well be looking to bolt on acquisitions @ a higher price.. so far so good..
In addition.. I do not think there will be a trading statement that was due in October.. that looks to me like a mistake..
However, looking forward to any future building of the company as expressed by the chairman..
Overhaul of the http://www.whatinvestment.co.uk/ website..
Of the 5 major titles only one now is left.. for overhauling..
|Look forward to the Trading Update ... and to any forward looking statements in it .....|
|Trading update is due anytime now...
Alexa Rankings for both smallbusiness.co.uk and Information-age.com have been fairly good.. Information-Age ranked below 10k in both UK and Ireland for the first time..
So traffic looks ok.. with online advertisers coming on board..and some sponsored content for both..
Tempus group was built quite quickly on acquisitions.. building to the 9th largest media company in the world.. I know CI pointed out the current market cap here being pretty low.. so hopefully something in the trading update to show things improving..
Chris Ingram has a "lot of contacts" in this Industry so i'd like to see what he has planned.. I suspect we have not long to go..
|Quiet here on this thread but Rome wasn't built in a day. share price moving positive today.|
|Well.. Ingram had said that this new Vitesse is just starting..
I think also from the last rns, there is a new management structure..
Moving away from low Margin 3rd events to Vitesse own events and online more revenue from advertising on their platforms..
We shall see..
|Thanks for feedback - let's see if it translates in to success for VIS and subsequently the share price|
|"British Small Business" awards was last night.. and to be honest, it looked like a Vitesse success..
The awards part of the business in addition to smallbuisness, growthbuisness and Information age have all been upgraded..
Women in IT Awards set for record attendance after venue move
17 OCTOBER 2016
The world's largest tech diversity event will move into one of Europe's largest and most prestigious ballrooms as its attendance grows to 800+
The 2017 ceremony will take place on 25 January, hosted by Information Age in partnership with headline sponsor Amazon Web Services.
“We have been blown away by how fast the Women in IT Awards has grown,” said Ben Rossi, editorial director at Vitesse Media and founder of the awards programme.
|Well, bamboo, this is the start of the beginnings of new Vitesse..
Expecting an increase in online advertising ( already evidenced to some degree when you look @ the new sites).. with overhaul of all major sites..
Want to make it defacto for small businesses to come online to smallbuisnss and growthbuisness..
But dyor.. Chris is a pretty smart guy where his role is now active from a passive investor..
|Took a few of these this morning|
|Looks like a relaunch of..
Looks much better, and same sort of style as smallbuisness..
More online advertising and in particular a few titbits of maybe small partnerships.. or in conjunction with Royal Mail.. Visa etc..
The events side is looking positive as well.. Oct 20th british small business awards..
|In fact there is more sponsored content (Toople etc..) that I've seen before..
Lets see what that translates to in the October update..
|Smallbuisness.co.uk showing sponsored content from quidco..
more sponsored content as such..
There is a proper buisness here, and with the guise and direction of chris, it certainly could be interesting..
|Yeah.. we should get an update sometime this month..
A few events coming up and the online flagship sites look to be doing better than before.. we are also due an upgrade of all flagships sites.. so it will be interesting to see the plans for this tiddler..
|something perked this one up|
|Game of patience here.. online across the board the sites have been doing better than before.. so there is improvement .. events as well..
Marked down to 3.5p.. there is hardly any on offer at that level..
|Indeed, that is why I am not selling ..... as yet undecided whether to add .....|
|Well, if you follow Chris Ingram on twitter.. he reckons this is only the beginnings for this company..
Expect something later next month..
|Indeed. Some investors (or should I say traders) do not have too much patience nowadays. I'm happy to hold and await the next RNS.|
share price taking a bit of a hit... I see that as a opportunity.. however.. we shall see where sellers take this..
Yep Moor.. it does look much better..
As we await overhaul of all major online sites.. the traffic coming to those has been pretty good over the past month..
It also seems that chris Ingram is confident not only on FY profit but the ability to now grow the company.. we are @ the beginnings for VIS..
But plz dyor..
|All looking good then thanks saffy. Time to think about adding a few :))|
|Online sites moving up the alexa ranking nicely..
For those who view alexa.. it is not the best way to determine quality traffic to a site but it is a decent enough metric..
smallbuisness.co.uk.. has an alexa of 4700 uk.. highest I've seen for this site..
If Ingram can increase traffic to its online sites.. and create more advertising revenue.. then this could be a very interesting business..
It is early stages, but it seems to me like Ingram is building the business, importantly, he knows what to do and how to do it..
Ideally, I probably would like to see a small fundraise i.e 100k-150k.. I don't think that is necessary, however would potentially give them breathing space..
Bolt on small acquisitions to increase revenue.. only, if the fit is complimentary.. I've seen a few "event platforms" that would make you think..
These interim's represented the quiet part of the year.. point to note..
