05/3/2008 11:25 | Indeed it is, hence the irony embedded within my posts. | spaceparallax
05/3/2008 09:51 | A bit early to crack open the champagne. | pickymicky
05/3/2008 09:45 | Oh my God, it's happening again - some people are buying and the sp's creeping up a little more! | spaceparallax
03/3/2008 13:59 | What the heck's going on? People are buying and the sp's recovering! | spaceparallax
26/2/2008 10:10 | Not totally friendless - I'm still here. Who knows, I might yet become their major shareholder? | spaceparallax
25/2/2008 23:45 | ... so perhaps a couple of my previous posts might be interesting: Don Muang - 14 Aug'07 - 10:30 - 335 of 433 Morning... Spx... Unfortunately I don't like 'discrepancies' - even in small companies - gives indication of lack of detail or not bothering about the relevant regulations .... !!! Wonder where this lot (VTO) will be this time next year ... ?? Don Muang - 6 Sep'07 - 16:27 - 350 of 433 Not wishing to appear too negative as I still hold a few .... but perhaps a prayer might be more appropriate? Either that or get Dr.Who to use a Venteco product on prime time TV to exterminate a hostile alien life form.... PS: I ceased to be a holder last autumn .... but it remained on my watchlist.... Good Luck to all that hold. I'd be interested in any views on why it'd be good timing to buy back in now.... | don muang
25/2/2008 23:29 | NTV ... it would seem to depend on price of the Cryonite units .... they could well be valued at £13m if they sell the units at £2.6m each .... ... perhaps one telling factor is that only Director buys during 2007 was a nominal one of 15,000 shares (on 15 June 2007) - which is somewhat more outweighed by Per Ragnar Thanner sell of 5.5m shares (19 April 2007). | don muang
25/2/2008 18:05 | sp how can you value the business at £13m? | ntv
25/2/2008 17:45 | Looking at the VTO news, then last order announced was 11 July 2007 (Venteco achieves first sales into Africa) - Is that really the last order they received? | don muang
25/2/2008 17:38 | NTV, On current t/o I couldn't agree more, but there is such untapped potential here that could easily lead to a tenfold multiplication - don't forget, the share price was consolidated to 80p not that long ago! | spaceparallax
25/2/2008 17:10 | it made an accountcy profit but not a real profit and as such generated no cash also look at financing costs of £55k compared with previous results shows what is really happening thats why the share price has bombed | ntv
25/2/2008 17:01 | sp no way that business is worth ten times the share price that is pure dreamland stuff mdp the company made a lost last half year despite your comments goodwill is paper and not hard cash so bank balance will be down | ntv
22/2/2008 14:10 | I suspect that there is an element of Luditism - if only they could see it as an opportunity, rather than a threat! | spaceparallax
22/2/2008 13:00 | One of the problems is that it is not in the interest of pest control comapnies to use cryonite. It does not require different processes/chemicals to kill ALL stages of insect life. The Pest Control company can make more money using chemicals and repeat visits. What the company needs is more PR and that does cost money. Not advertising, they do need to help the end users understand that cryonite is a much better alternative, that they can do themselves with a little training. Again anoher reason why PCO's are not pushing this too much!! | muxdapanza
22/2/2008 12:08 | That's my view too MUX. Although the most recent TS openly said that Cryo and Silv had not grown as much as originally expected, all three of the businesses have advanced from those that were purchased. Hence, the current sp's likely to be covered by the cash reserve alone, with the marketable value of the businesses being many times that, perhaps even ten times IMHO. I'm heavily down at the moment, with an average nuy-in price of C. 27p, but am happy to double my holding for a song and halve my average, which could easily be worth ten times that in a few short years. IMHO, the potential for the cryonite is absolutely enormous. If we can simply expand the business based on current applications, then money could be invested in proving its much wider efficacy e.g. hospital cleansing applications could conceivably be stretched way beyond mere bed bugs. Of all my holdings, I rank VTO up with RCG in terms of future potential - they only need to get a few breaks. | spaceparallax
22/2/2008 08:27 | Hi NTV, The loss was not a cash loss. Pretax was a small profit. Cash at 30th June was £1.3m SO I would be very surprised if they had run out of money. Even if trading has been below expectations. | muxdapanza
21/2/2008 17:37 | check out vle or hnn if you want a safe investment | ntv
21/2/2008 17:35 | space why double your holding when this has not reached the bottom yet sy it loses £300k in this current halfyear it may be able sell some of its businesses but that is only to stem losses best to wait to see the damage to the balance sheet first will probably end up as a small cash shell again | ntv
21/2/2008 15:46 | Just received a few 'words' from Barry Gibb - given closed period limitations, his feedback was of a general nature, although he was able to advise that the recent share price volatility should be attributed more to general market malaise and the effects of small share illiquidity. Consequently, I'm looking to double my holding over the coming days. | spaceparallax
15/2/2008 10:52 | NTV, The sp's certainly looking grim - I've emailed SH to ask for a statement on the drastic fall; no response so far, but will post if it comes. I don't understand your fair value figure. Their cash alone at interims would suggest around 5p and that makes no allowance for NAV. To my mind, they've sufficient funding to remain solvent for a fair while. What they need is a decent break in the Cryonite operation, which offers such huge potential. In fairness to the management, I don't think they're doing much wrong, except not communicating well enough with investors. | spaceparallax
15/2/2008 07:37 | s fair price ahead of results will be around 4p if you take a look at the last balance sheet depennds on losses though | ntv
11/2/2008 19:39 | NTV, Indeed there are and have been sellers, although I can't recall any substantial sells. Almost as if the MMs are walking it down. | spaceparallax
11/2/2008 16:39 | spaceparallax you must be the only person to have any confidence in the company as everyobody seems to be selling out at whatever price they can get | ntv |
