15/7/2016 13:52 | Maybe, maybe not...INFRA Technology (infratechnolgy.com) is finalizing mechanical construction of their modular 100 bpd GTL demo plant in Wharton, TX. Also, Juniper GTL is emerging from bankruptcy and is planning to be on stream in 2017. It is a tight race. Regarding Juniper, according to the other message board, Velocys was an unsuccessful bidder on Juniper's assets. What in the world was the board thinking? | fluky
15/7/2016 13:27 | Haydock...Years.. in a few months we will have the first commercial small scale GTL plant in operation anywhere in the world.. we will get a significant amount of interest from this.. | gac141
15/7/2016 09:14 | Well that sounds like we need a pilot plant first. Woops forgot we have had one running for months. | haydock
14/7/2016 16:30 | That's ok Fluky..you can have your view..I can have mine.. | gac141
14/7/2016 16:28 | Why do things have to "spiral downwards" ? Why can't they just go down? | arf dysg
14/7/2016 16:01 | gac141: please put down your rose-coloured glasses. The next five months will be not be exciting but very stressful. Producing the first drop of FT product will be very exciting but it is months away. The first half of 2017 will be the most critical period of Velocys history. They need a continuous flow of high quality product for multiple months to convince the potential clients that the technology is worth investing. Anything less will be send them in a downward spiral. | fluky
14/7/2016 10:53 | Extremely interesting article out on Velocys website...! This is very far from doom and gloom.. the next 5 months should be very exciting for us.................. | gac141
13/7/2016 09:24 | Yes the irony is that early stage backers of a story stock are the ones who get shafted the most. There is a very great chance of dilution from placings etc. That's not to say you can't make money. With this stock it could be a good time to buy now all the Lipski hype is out of the price. There again they have to thank him for getting the share up and funding the growth stage. But in reality this company has delivered nothing for shareholders. | meijiman
12/7/2016 21:53 | My thoughts too.....AIM R&D companies are not worth touching until they make a profit, finance being a big issue for AIM market, greedy BOD rewarding themselves huge pay packets. Dwindling cash pile reflected in SP | beeezzz
09/7/2016 13:14 | This stock has been in the red zone for a long, long while and the latest RNS is very troubling. VLS is best avoided at this stage as the future is bleaker than ever for the company. As for RA, he hardly has a track record for shrewd investments in football (anyone remembers £50 mill RA paid for Torres?), let alone having one in the stock market. The only way for a stock to go up is for the underlying business to generate ever increasing sales and cold hard profits and cash. Until VLS proves that it will get there, it's best not touched even with the proverbial barge pole. | tongosti
07/7/2016 17:40 | gac141: "there is an overhang" It must be one hell of an overhang, if Roman Abramovich can keep buying millions of shares without the price going up. He has just over 24% of the company. They say "Invest your money where you're in the best position to influence the outcome" and I imagine that RA is also thinking that way. He's likely to see some synergy between VLS and his other oil and gas interests which we don't yet know about. He was buying at far higher prices than today's price, so he probably puts a far higher value on VLS than the market currently does. | arf dysg
07/7/2016 15:11 | Clearly there is an overhang that is being whittled away.. Who is buying my guess is RA...... When the overhang is gone the shares should react very positively. | gac141
07/7/2016 08:19 | Director buys ? | gac141
07/7/2016 08:02 | Good to see the company is in good control of ENVIA and will generate some cash..also good to see cash conservation on the Ashtabula plate. The circumstances regarding funding may change rapidly once the ENVIA project is producing. The ENVIA plant is the key focus of the team, and excellent progress is being made. Our increased stake and operational role is proving very positive for Velocys and its partners; I am pleased with the team's dedication and expertise and with the progress the plant is making. On other fronts, multiple opportunities are progressing towards firm orders. I look forward to updating shareholders on the ongoing review of strategy and future developments in due course."l love to know what is coming through here. To me is shows a new and focused approach to the business. | gac141
06/7/2016 17:49 | This should cut 3 pages down to the actual information in 5 lines: RNS Number : 2105D / Velocys PLC / 05 July 2016 Ervington Investments Limited acting for Mr Roman Abramovich Ordinary Shares GB00B11SZ269 / transaction 30 June 2016 / notified: 4 July 2016 OLD: 30,205,743 NEW: 34,442,443 (24.04%) | arf dysg
06/7/2016 09:23 | You may find that those figures have been improved on..look to December last year when they improved efficiency. Paul Schubert said at the AGM that they are constantly improving this to bring these costs down. | gac141
05/7/2016 13:07 | I cannot tell you what the exact operating costs are but it was said at the AGM that the plant would produce waxes which sell for an appreciable amount more than diesel. Some of the high quality waxes sell for well over $200/b.... | gac141
05/7/2016 11:09 | In June last year Neil Woodford said.. "We also disposed of gas-to-liquid fuel technology business, Velocys. Although the company has some very impressive technology, our conviction in the company’s ability to fulfil its potential has diminished, as we now fear that other technologies may overtake it.’ I also think there may have been a personality clash between him and Roy. Two things Roy has gone and nobody has got near overtaking us... It is worth remembering some of these funds will only get involved if the Market Cap is big enough and certainly our Market Cap is paltry.. David has a huge job increasing our credibility and standing.. East Oak may be that catalyst... | gac141
05/7/2016 10:20 | Or could be loss leader, wonder if he pays UK tax, nice to see you on the ball gac...can always rely on you. www.proactiveinvesto Funny that Woodford got out so early, maybe the fiasco with CEO was the final straw. | beeezzz
