19/8/2016 10:31 | I think Roman's been shopping again... According to July RNS, RA had 34,442,443 shares. Assuming that this morning was him (2*3 million), then he would have 42,079,723 shares. That takes him to 29.24%, which is not far from 30% (about ~1 million shares short). | musarddjm
18/8/2016 20:43 | Was this to do with why the ceo got the tic-tac? | meijiman
18/8/2016 18:27 | Fail or not fail is not important but the cash burnt to get involved with this venture is a material fact which should be disclosed to the shareholders. According to court documents available at the Donlin Recano website it is stated that Westlake LLC, a whole owned subsidiary of Velocys, was formed "to submit the bid for, and purchase, the Assets and to act as the DIP lender to the Debtor (Juniper GTL)." The company has to provide information about why they engaged in this venture and how much money was spent and is being spend to settle the latest claims. | fluky
18/8/2016 15:50 | Velocys didn't fail. Velocys made a stalking horse offer (as Westlake) in combination with Richard Construction (largest debtor). As there were no bids at auction, the stalking horse bid won. As a result, Westlake assigned its bid to Richard Construction, which presumably sold it on to York Capital:http://www.b | musarddjm
18/8/2016 12:30 | The other message board shows a few postings which mentioned the involvement of Velocys in Juniper GTL's bankruptcy. Velocys created Westlake GTL to acquire Juniper's assets. That was unsuccessful and what is happening now in court is a fallout from that failed effort. We should ask the company for an explanation since this side effort has cost precious cash. Silva and McDaniel who are mentioned in the court documents should focus on bringing in orders not on fighting court cases. | fluky

28/7/2016 10:22 | July SpeedRead We at Velocys have made solid progress on a number of fronts over recent months. The ENVIA plant in Oklahoma remains the key focus of our dedicated team, and I am very excited to see, week by week, the visible progress being made at the site. Our increased operational role in the project is proving very positive for Velocys and its partners; recent work includes an operability review, commissioning planning, operating manuals and training. Moreover a team of highly experienced Velocys operators and engineers has been seconded to ENVIA until the end of 2016. They arrived on site a few weeks ago in preparation for commissioning and start-up and are serving there under the ENVIA Plant Manager. We continue to believe that the successful operation of ENVIA’s plant will be a transformational event for Velocys and will expedite third party sales opportunities. Even before then, multiple opportunities are progressing towards firm orders. For example, Red Rock Biofuels continues to make progress on permitting, financing and offtake agreements for its biomass-to-liquids plant in Oregon. Also in the US, the air permit was recently issued for the project opportunity involving a major fuels player. Velocys has completed its part of the engineering study underway for a proposed plant in Central Asia, and we continue to uncover and develop new project opportunities in many parts of the world. Elsewhere, Velocys has put its development of Ashtabula GTL on hold. Our recent analysis has confirmed that the wax market in North America and the projected plant economics remain attractive, but given the challenges in raising equity for capital projects of this nature at present and in order to defer costs, it was prudent to hold the project, pending reassessment as part of the broad strategy review that we are currently undertaking. I look forward to providing updates on the ongoing review of strategy in due course. Please get in touch if you would like more information on any of the items highlighted in this newsletter. 27/7/2016 13:51 | The BOD has never been open and I feel the story has been polished to get away share issuance. The only thing that keeps my interest is the presence of Abramovich. Got to assume he is no mug-but maybe he is! | meijiman
27/7/2016 11:51 | As cash pile reduces so does the share price ...another AIM R&D company that benefits the employees yet investors get sod all, it beggars belief how long it takes, they obviously still have design issues which are not being conveyed to PI's, ho no sod them. Time is running out IMO... | beeezzz
26/7/2016 19:08 | Cornell University biological engineers have deciphered the cellular strategy to make the biofuel ethanol, using an anaerobic microbe feeding on carbon monoxide... To make biofuel from inorganic, gaseous industrial rubbish, the researchers learned that the bacterium Clostridium ljungdahlii responds thermodynamically - rather than genetically - in the process of tuning favorable enzymatic reactions. Synthetic gas - or syngas - fermentation is emerging as a key biotechnological solution, as industrial-sized operations are looking to produce ethanol from their gaseous waste streams... hxxp://phys.org/news | arf dysg

18/7/2016 11:09 | I think we all agree this can work and I am a big fan as well as a sizable shareholder. The share price is ridiculous but there are still those prepared to sell at even these levels. What I would like is to see greater support for the share price ..maybe the directors could reach into their pockets, which they never have except the legal executive, to give others the confidence in the business. This lack of director support weighs heavily on the confidence of others I am afraid. | gac141
