10/7/2005 16:07 | I like this one to. The chart is excellent, the stock is underowned and the defence sector looks good on technicals and fundamentals. vega is very well placed in the fastest growing areas of defence. I expect a series of upgrades for earnings as the business builds momentum. | superskunk

30/6/2005 11:52 | Taken from todays Shares Mag THE NUMBERS ARE LOOKING GOOD FOR VEGA AS BUSINESS BOOMS. Consultancy Co Veg looks to be on a roll. Only a month after reporting it will beat 2005 forecasts, it appears likely to surprise the market yet again with next year's numbers now looking conservative. Vega, which advises military and government organisations on the best use of technology, will report its finals on 6 July. When it does, analyst Ian Spence at house broker Baird is likely to upgrade his profit forecast for 2006. Spence the only analyst to cover the stock , says " Strong earnings growth should mean continued outperformance from the shares". He is currently forecasting PTP of 4.4 million for 2006 but says he could upgrade this number by 5-10% In a year end trading update on 10 May, VEGA announced that its pre-tax profit would beat expectations. The update highlighted a new Command Support and Information Systems (CSIS) contract won from the Ministry of Defence's procurement arm. It is this contract which has prompted Spence's upbeat view of next year as he sees it as an important driver of profit. " The outlook is promising for 2006, with solid underlying business and the CSIS contract providing a useful amount of profitable revenue," he says | cravencottage
30/6/2005 11:31 | With the market already aware that Vega is trading "ahead of expectations" this comes as no surprise to me whatsoever! CC | cravencottage

29/6/2005 11:27 | Results out next Wednesday (6th July). | search4shares
25/6/2005 16:09 | Well with the recent " Above expectations " trading statement, i'd be very surprised not to see 250p + just after Vega's results. The MM's were just shaking a few out on Friday ( due to a little weakness on the Dow) however with results out in just over a week they won't be able to hold back the upward momentum. All IMO ofcourse. CC | cravencottage |
