The Cairn announcement is due any day now. The company said it would be by the end of 1st quarter, which should be a big positive for Vedanta with the cash enhancement it will assume.

Depends on how this correction pans out, not a buyer at these levels, will wait to see if the markets offer me near 580p area.

In no rush, I have been shorting indicies for a while now (mostly to hedge my portfolio) and long gold fr.1200$

Agreed it looks very cheap. They are going to be growing the dividend substantially once the Cairn deal is done.

The balance sheet will still be a somewhat convoluted mess but less so than before.

All I can say is Vedanta ebitda next year will be more than 60 percent more than its market cap - if that's not cheap what is!!!- their year end is at the end of this month!!
