13/8/2014 08:29 | Great news sidam Gekko Don't be disappointed re top sales. The product is seasonal, generally spring/ summer, with Autumn/winter on the way. Nice to get it out there though to get some recognition pre the spring/summer season next year. Now a test for posters here. What is the third Vamousse product | gemferret
12/8/2014 22:28 | That product looks cheap to me,im sure it will become in time a best seller. | gekko68
12/8/2014 22:01 | Guardian the bug repellent is now available on Amazon.com Quote from TYR Just wanted to share the exciting news that Guardian Wilderness and Backyard are now officially for sale on Amazon! You can now tell your friends-turned-Guard Wilderness: hxxp://www.amazon.co Backyard: hxxp://www.amazon.co | sidam
12/8/2014 20:32 | ga11amar - I get the point your trying to make. If they sell more, then they can reduce prices & increase demand by being cheaper. However as you said its premium product. By reducing prices it puts a squeeze on profit margins. Consumers are willing to pay more for a product that is organic & safe, that its key selling point. There head-lice product was number 3 best seller at walmart out of 15 products. We should get a update soon about there products going on sale in Boots & Supper-drug. Might even get sales figures for the US. | gekko68
12/8/2014 19:41 | no backlash please. I'm hoping if they get more established they can ramp up production and hopefully price can fall a bit If you look at walmart you will see it is def a premium based upon the dose but the managment are experts in pricing and marketing. be happy to see results | ga11amar
12/8/2014 13:42 | thanks for this, these are essentially the findings i was sharing | ga11amar
11/8/2014 20:41 | Gemferret - re your point about AMVAC's commitment to Tyratech. Not sure if this link has been highlighted before, but if not, you may want to click on the link below. Its a presentation dated 4/6/14 given at a shareholder's meeting. Page 50 onwards might persuade you that AMVAC are very committed to Tyratech, especially as the guest speaker making the presentation was a certain Bruno Jactel. | mdchand
11/8/2014 18:46 | Should keep a eye on what they have to say on mums-net. They have the potential to make a product by just word of mouth. They appear to be very interested in our new products. A chemical free solution, made from plant extracts & oils, 100% effective against both the lice and their eggs. Independently tested and proven to be more effective than any other product on the market. There's also a preventative shampoo to protect family members who don't have the infestation. Available at Walmart & coming to pharmacies across the country. hxxp://www.mumsnet.c | gekko68
11/8/2014 17:07 | No nothing else to worry about just the 24% and no I think there is no chance AMVAC will hold a position if terminix and the Envance deal is off. Yes I think others funds or investors could hoover them up and probably will, but if right I would like to see the findings in the public domain. I would personally like that uncertainty out of the way. I'll hang fire for a company response. If no response I'll nag the nomad for information. Great looking company and a great team, just some short term loose ends for me, and I'm doing my best to tie them up. I will share any info if I get any. I like the situation of products launched and launching. I'm sick to death of others I'm interested in, and their promises of launch. It never seems to happen. Tyra have done, and are doing what others should do, grasp the nettle and get on with it. | gemferret
11/8/2014 16:38 | They could become a takeover target from many companies, due to the competition being non existent so to speak. The chemical based companies will lose there market share & will have no option either to develop a plant based product or buy a company which already has it. | gekko68

11/8/2014 16:31 | Good point ashtree! As I said before if they do decide to sell up, it will be done by a controlled placing with institutions as Gekko alludes to, not by 'dumping' them on the market. However, I am sure Gem will find something else to worry about... Just buy some shares for gawd's sake!! Yes you might get them a bit cheaper if you hang on for a little longer but in the medium term the odd half pence or so is neither here nor there when we are up 5 fold! Nobby | nobbygnome
11/8/2014 16:14 | If the tyratech range of products prove sucessful there would be a chance that tyratech could become a target of Amvac. They already hold 24%.Or am I missing something? | ashtree2
11/8/2014 16:08 | Why do some of you keep going on how American Vanguard Corp might sell there 24.09%? Standard Life have just taken 5.6% in the company. The institutions are falling over themselves to get a part of the company. Makes no difference if Vangaurd take a active involvement or not, there stake is a investment. If they see a bright future for the company, then they have a opportunity to see there stake grow, why would they sell at such a exciting stage, when they keep signing major retailers to sell there products? | gekko68
11/8/2014 15:07 | Gemferret. Thanks. All a bit muddy. Presumably Terminix were also selling their own products under their own name. Doesn't this make it hard to tell whether it is Terminix own label or Envance product (badged as Terminix) which is disappearing from the shelves. And as Nobby says, Novartis appear to be targetting Agribusiness rather than home pest control. Whatever, if I were Amvac, holding approx £5million and a significant interest in Tyratech, I would hold. It is not that significant percentage of Amvac's turnover, but potentially could be quite valuable if I believe that Tyratech has some innovative and very effective products. I can sell at a profit when the stock rises or use it as a stepping stone to buy the company. Have a look at Amvac's last quarter results. Not very profitable all. Tyr could be just what they need to inject some life into their bottom line. | hashertu
11/8/2014 14:19 | >> gem The two sets of products address completely different markets. You clearly don't do your research that well ;o).... The Terminix products are for the consumer household market whereas the Novartis products just target the livestock industry. They can exist side by side and are mutually exclusive! Nobby | nobbygnome
11/8/2014 13:17 | Hashertu As below AMVAC and TyraTech Name New Joint Venture 30 January 2013 New company to be named Envance Technologies AMVAC Chemical Corporation ("AMVAC") and TyraTech, Inc. are pleased to announce Envance Technologies ("Envance" or the "JV"), the new corporate identity chosen for their joint venture launched in December, 2012. Envance will develop and commercialize a range of innovative pest control solutions for global consumer, commercial, and agriculture pest control markets. The new company's name was selected to capture the combination of TyraTech's insect science and technology platform with AMVAC's market-driven, global commercial growth capabilities. Envance's focus is to advance this technology and expand a range of commercial solutions for comprehensive insect control. Envance is currently distributing its Terminix-branded household insect control products in major US retail channels. The JV's immediate focus will be on supporting the ongoing retail launch, expanding distribution through other leading US retail partners, and developing new product and market opportunities. Self explanatory re the JV. Envance was set up purely to support sales of terminix hxxp://envancetech.c Envance is a JV with Amvac to support retailers selling terminix through Walmart and others. There are consumer and commercial market products. Amvac are America Vanguard Corporation . AMVAC hold 24% of the shares in Tyratech. At the end of April 2014 an announcement came re the launch of the Natunex brand with Novartis. A link up that had been made some time before. Check this link and scroll down the page. hxxp://www.ah.novart It's exactly the same products under the Terminix brand, consumer and commercial Terminix products are disappearing off shelves. You can actually see that by using the 'where to buy' section (envance website), or just searching 'terminix' on Walmart's main page. Then a comment to me that the terminix deal is 'dormant'. It seems clear to me they have dumped the terminix deal/brand and have moved completely over to Novartis. No problem, great, I have no issue, but Amvac hold 24% of the company, so personally what is going to happen to those shares. I can't see Amvac holding it as an investment if the JV is off. As said I'll see if the company respond to my email on the topic. | gemferret
11/8/2014 12:31 | Gemferret. This question might show little I know about Tyratech, but I will ask anyway. What is the linkage between Amvac and Terminix? Why is Amvac's investment in Tyr dependent upon this description (from the website) of the relationship between Tyr and Terminix? "Terminix: TyraTech formed a strategic partnership with Terminix to develop, manufacture, and market innovative and differentiated ready-to-use pest control products. The partnership focus is on household consumers, institutional customers and professional service businesses." | hashertu
11/8/2014 08:02 | >> Gem Working in the pharmaceutical industry on a fifth to market drug in its class as I do, believe me I know how important first mover advantage is! For my drug it is a massive uphill struggle even though it is better in some ways than the competitors. And I don't think you can get a product which is 110% effective and please explain to me what part of 'non toxic' can be bettered. Yes they could have a better formulation maybe but once people get used to using Vamousse, it will be very difficult for another product to muscle its way in. I should also add my wife has been involved in the marketing of OTC lice products in the past(and many other products) and she is very excited about the potential for Vamousse. Indeed she has spoken to the company about working on it! Nuff said Nobby | nobbygnome
10/8/2014 18:52 | Nobby I think Guardian will be a good seller. Nearly all the market is Deet which at times isn't pleasant. Take Canada, they live and breath outdoor living, but the Canadian government starting banning Deet with over 30% concentration years ago. They advise anyone under 12yrs only has under 10% Deet. So they will love the arrival of Guardian. I don't know how many more countries have restrictions, but there will be those that prefer naturals products and some that fear the use of Deet. | gemferret
10/8/2014 18:34 | "Tyratech have cut corners and our products are superior and will bite them on the bum". That's a quote by the way. | gemferret |
