skip re your observation re sea water
Seawater - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seawater
On average, seawater in the world's oceans has a salinity of about 3.5%
i posted that 1% salt solution would kill head lice that i had found on line so sea water at 3.5% is three and a half times stronger.
one could bottle sea water but the transport cost would be rather high so i
shall be putting on the market haroldthegreats lice killer crystals soon. it will come in a salt cellar with instructions to dilute one 5 ml spoon full with 100 mls water and apply to lice ridden heads every 3 days for 12 days.
i like tyrateck ,will be selling this at a premium price but will undercut vamousse and everything else on the market.
so for those who like an investment i will be selling shares in the company as soon as possible.
all i need to locate is a cheap supply of my novel containers, salt i will purchase from tesco, they need the sales boost, and i already have staff and premises to package and label the product. i also have the label printers.
i will not be able to make a medical claim without a clinical trial so i will sell it as a food supplement.
so it will be called haroldthegreats homely hair salt. apply in a solution to hair to keep your hair free from unwelcome guests.
it will retail at £5 per 100g so undercutting all the other premium products.
please reply if you want shares in the company .
i will sell the initial supplies at camden market and petticoat lane to assess the market. as it will be natural and pesticide free.

Evaluation of the Efficacy and Safety of 1% Sodium
Chloride (LiceFreee Spray) against 1% Permethrin Crème
Rinse on Head Lice Infested Individuals The present study demonstrates that 1% Sodium Chloride Spray is a simple application, and supplies an excel-
lent medical alternative to the current recommended
treatment for head lice to 1% Permethrin Crème Rinse.

Insects don't like salt - there are very very few marine insects. If your dog has fleas or your kids have nits, chuck 'em in the sea every day. Or if that is impractical because you live in Birmingham, mix a salt concentrate with some other stuff insects don't like, and slap that on instead. It's a great idea.

when they put up a disclaimer at the start of the presentation nobody has the time or inclination to read it . one irish ceo at the start of his presentation said i will summarise this for you " dont believe a word i am about to say"
it was a frank admission and i purchased his companies shares but I would take all these presentations with a large pinch of salt. i trust you do remember where the salt comes in with tyrateck its in the us product.
one investor pointed out on one of the boards that if you shorted the companies that present at these meetings you would make more money than actually investing in them.
in their favour appointing ceuta as the sales agents was a good move as they do have good relationships with their customers and are established in the industry.
far easier to sell in a new product when you have a relationship already as opposed to a new sales person trying to sell as a new product.

P.S. IMHO the main reason for the fall is the fact they said there may be a fund raising. However, as was clarified on Thursday this will only be in a good scenario where cash is required for rapid expansion in the UK. That would be fine as far as I am concerned....

By definition you will be too late then! Sales at walmart are decent but not yet stupendous. That is not surprising if you know anything about product uptake and marketing.

As I said above distribution agreements with the big chains in the UK are imminent. That will move the price for sure. However, because you are so sceptical you just wait for that and then you can buy at 20p! It is simple risk reward as always on the stock market.

nobby you are obviously an expert in this field so i will wait for the rns that says sales have exceeded our expectations and the massive rise in the share price. all i can see is the decline in the share price over the last few weeks so the market is not as optimistic as you are.

You saw the video and so clearly saw that it works. If they apply it properly it doesn't need a second application. I really don't understand your sceptism about seemingly everything. I answered the salt question on this board eons ago; it is a non issue and as Brino said is just to do with the approval process. As for saying people will catch a disease if the insect repellant doesn't work, well in most western countries that is nonsense. If you are in Scotland, you are not going to catch anything from the midges!

So lighten up and acknowledge the company is well on the way to success. The only aspect to really worry about as far as I am concerned is whether they have enough money to market the products effectively.

they said some stores had sold out. say they sent 200 cans as a trial order per store. i family =3 cans . if it fails and needs a repeat =6 cans. 34 families c all gone.
with hundreds of lousy families going to their stores the demand should be immense.
the fact that some stores have sold out is meaningless. what one needs to know is the number of cans sold in total.
if vamousse really works and the word spreads around school etc the demand should increase like mad. if not from walmart the on line sellers.
that would merit a rns like demand has exceeded all expectations . have we seen that?
if i was selling a product where the demand was unbelievable i would say so.
that rns wold cause the shares to rise at the moment we only see them falling.

All this buying on Monday morning should lead to a nice rise in the share price...

and then perhaps profit taking in the afternoon!!

they want a premium price for vamousse in the uk. lets say £12 per can but i get the idea it may be more. you need one can per head if the hair is long . so say for an average family a purchase of £24. if 3 females 36£. if it really does work 100% kill lice and eggs first time that might be acceptable. if it doesnt and needs a repeat in 7 days thats £72. ouch. most products have a recommendation to repeat in 7 days.
it will not be available on prescription and will not be available on minor ailments schemes either.
that means the only market will be otc.
a premium price will be paid if the product works 100% first time otherwise the patient will revert to the non premium priced product that they have used for years.

in the states the active ingredient is listed as sodium chloride or in common terms salt.
i was not aware that salt could kill lice but looking up some trials it obviously has a use. there is another product there which is just a salt solution in a spray
a trial in the states found that a salt solution used at 7 days intervals was better than permethrin.
to think i was wasting my salt on fish and chips when it could have been used on head lice.
at proactive they compared their insect repellent with 15% deet products. most people use 50% deet . deet is the gold standard for insect repellents. if your repellent does not work you could contract some nasty or even fatal diseases .
would you risk your life on a new product ?

All - thanks for that feedback. The lack of future visibility was my biggest concern, but issues of confidentiality do make sense. I'll be adding on Monday as well :-)

FWIW Alan Reade said to me that they couldn't say the numbers because so far they were nearly all through Walmart and so that was confidential information for Walmart. Bruno also made some comment about Walmart going out of stock faster than they expected. At the end in response to a question Bruno put up some brokers' forecasts for this year which from memory were £4 million turnover. Profitability was forecast for next year.

I am going to buy some more on Monday morning because of the imminent UK deals.

Thanks Nobby and youngbaz, also invested in tyratech and Amedeo. Both offer lots of upside potential but Tyratech is further along in the process and probably offers more upside potential in 2014 unless Amedeo's £1.7bn contract is confirmed. What TYR investors need to see is the numbers!

It is all very well saying sales have been "very good" but actually what is need are some specific numbers....the sooner we get some detail the better.

Likewise I was at the Proactive presentation. This is a very very impressive company with excellent products. Contrary to what some have said on here the sales at Walmart have been very good. I also asked about the Novartis deal and the implication of Eli Lilly buying their animal health franchise. Essentially they think it is a good thing because Eli Lilly are bigger in this field and the products will be a very good complementary fit.

Clearly the next big event will be distribution deals in the UK for Vamouse. It seems that all the big chains are keen to sign up; when this comes to pass I think there will be a big hike in the price. From the vibes I got, I think this is pretty close.

So overall Tyratech is a very impressive company which is really going places. The potential fundraising which was in the last announcement will only happen in a good scenario where they need cash for rapid penetration into the UK market.

Well I went to the presentation last evening - given by Bruno by the way. I went primarily for an update on AMED, in which I am invested, but so impressed by the TYR story, and by Bruno, that I bought the company - well some of it anyway, even though my trade still isn't showing on ADVFN.According to Bruno stock of Vamousse is moving off the shelves at Walmart and Amazon very nicely thank you. I also took the precaution of checking customer product reviews online at Amazon first and they are superb. Now TYR needs the share price movement that AMED enjoyed today.

Wise words, mdchand. It certainly doesn't sound as if Vamousse is flying off the shelves as hoped. The animal product range is more promising. Now the share price is back down again I want to see some director buying before I believe that they think they're on a winner. The prophylactic anti-nit shampoo could have more market appeal I think. I'm in for the long haul now.

Well I will be going to the Proactive Investor presentation next Thursday and it will be very interesting to see what they say there. Previously it has been Alan Reade the chairman who has presented; I wonder if it will be Bruno Jactel this time.

I will report back next Friday!
