19/7/2016 17:47 | Thoughts are whatever the verdict it affects industry whole, not just TSCO who seemingly conjured these up in response to discounters. If the ruling is the packaging are unacceptable it's a minor waste of financing this brand exercise. But not fussed by any of this. | rimmy2000
19/7/2016 17:24 | The packs are clearly marked with the country of origin, I bought Boswell Farms sirloin steak yesterday, right under the price and barcode it says 'Origin United Kingdom.' Other packs were similarly Marked 'Origin Ireland' There can really be no justifiable reason to complain, beef don't grow in factories it grows on farms. Unlike the pretend beef (Quorn) and butter substitutes that are made in plastics factories. | vaneric
19/7/2016 16:05 | Before the launch, they did run it past the trading standards with thumbs up.....it is alleged. | lufc55

10/7/2016 12:09 | ignoble 10 Jul'16 - 10:31 - 17853 of 17853 0 0 Local Tesco seems busier of late but for gawd's sake ,the store always feels like it needs a good clean . Needs a good lick of paint -------------------- At the bottom of your receipt there is a £1000 competition which requires you to fill in a description of your experience today at the shop, did you do it? If you tell them it's a mess they may do something about it, moaning on here won't get anything done. | vaneric

10/7/2016 10:12 | Johnwise, all the food is clearly marked with the country of origin. In the case of British sources, it usually has the mame of the grower and his county. Customers know what these labels are. | deanforester
10/7/2016 09:55 | supermarky, you obviously do not know the definition of a penny share.anyway if you are inve insted tesco soon you will realise what a penny share is. | sr2day
10/7/2016 05:06 | Farm brand 'fakers': Tesco 'cynically using British-sounding names to trick its shoppers into buying foreign food' Supermarkets have been accused of 'cynically' inventing brand names that evoke the British countryside in order to dupe shoppers into buying imported food. Produce sold under fictional names such as 'Nightingale Farms' or 'Rosedene Farms' might sound home-grown but in fact could come from as far afield as Morocco, Senegal or Honduras. Now the National Farmers Union is 'seriously considering' legal action against leading stores for potentially misleading customers about the origin of their meat, fruit and vegetables. | johnwise
08/7/2016 18:05 | Sad though it is, the Tesco DB Schemers have had a good run for their money. | septimus quaid

07/7/2016 17:49 | By my reckoning they are saving £500m+/yr on their new staff pension contributions. In fact if staff take the 4% option not the 7.5%, tey'll save even more. | yf23_1
07/7/2016 17:19 | In the not to distant future I can see Morrisons being the number 5, as the big four will include Aldi. | loganair
