01/3/2010 14:42 | Not big money - but at least they are promoting their value SJ March 1st Spectrum Interactive PLC Snow and airport printers are good news for Spe... Spectrum's internet desks and printing services helped many UK airports handle the recent unprecedented passenger disruption and flight delays during the worst winter snow for 30 years. The significant snow falls experienced across the UK in December and January caused major airport disruption and many runway closures. Passengers needed to contact friends and family, as well as rebooking flights, and changing travel plans. The combination of Spectrum's internet desks and A4 printing was in heavy demand throughout the winter. Spectrum's new printing services enabled low cost printing of boarding cards, hotel and car rental confirmations, as well as emails and documents. The Spectrum printing services are located close to existing internet desks, printing on good quality A4 thermal paper. The service uses a "Print & Release" function, enabling passengers to send various prints to the printer, to be stored securely until released. The passenger receives a PIN release code, and when ready enters the PIN at the printer, pays, and receives their print. Using "Print & Release" removes the concern of others taking your print and the need to rush to the printer. Spectrum's airport printing service is able to receive print requests from WiFi & 3G laptops, BlackBerrys and any other internet enabled mobile devices. These users simply forward their document to a printer specific email address to then receive by email their print release PIN. For the first time BlackBerry business travellers are able to easily print important documents when at UK airports. Daniel Gray, Director, Travel Division for Spectrum added, "The new printing service has been well received by the airport operators and passengers. Spectrum accelerated the rollout of printers during the bad winter and we now have 22 airport locations with "Print & Release" services. During the weather disruptions several airport operators identified internet access and printing as key passenger requirements, and we have been working with the airports to add further desk locations and new services to be implemented as part of the airport's disruption contingency planning. Increasingly our services are being seen as an essential part of the airport and passenger experience. Who says snow is bad news!" | sailing john

23/2/2010 05:35 | nice rise yesterday, if you check the debt it has all been paid down in the last accounts whicH i failed to observe before, some contracts are for renewal 2012 but they seem to have a good record in retaining customers, the payphones are having less & less effect, marine and motorway services will add value, 2p eps, with a share prie of 6.5p or 7p to buy, is p/e of 3.5, and about 1.5m of tax credit is abt as good as another 1.5m off the debt figure to me, hence my buying back in, especially after recent severe fall despite 3 sets of good news. | outsider
22/2/2010 20:49 | I believe that it's the new policy to agree a longer term with each new contract and should shelter us from any lost contract. | battlebus
22/2/2010 20:44 | announced today sin win london city airport 5 year contract. Spectrum Interactive has secured a five year contract with London City Airport to provide internet desks and payphones. Daniel Gray, Spectrum's Head of Travel Division, Daniel Gray says:"This is excellent news and reinforces Spectrum as the UK airports' leading public internet access provider. "The length of this agreement means we can concentrate on working with the airport to develop new services and thus new revenue streams. For example we have recently added full Skype & Google Talk instant messaging (IM) & voice services to our internet desks." Story provided by Business Financial Newswire © 2010 BFNNews.com.
