nternet Desks at Heathrow T5 with Spectrum Interactive

Spectrum Interactive plc today releases photos of its installations across BAA's Heathrow Terminal 5. The installations include a highly innovative new design for the T5 departures lounge, and bespoke designs for installations within Caffe Nero, Bagel Street & Love Juice retail concessions.

The design & production of these units had to meet new and highly demanding standards set by BAA in terms of both quality of design and build techniques. The installations follow the announcement in 2006 that Spectrum had successfully won the contract to operate Internet Desks and Payphones at BAA's new Heathrow Terminal 5.

Daniel Gray, Head of Marketing and Product said; "The internet desks have been very well received by everyone involved. The new designs have worked well, and are bespoke to fit in with their individual locations. Usage results have been very positive so far, despite the difficulties experienced by Terminal 5 since its opening. Spectrum has proven once again, that it's the UK Airport's Internet Desk provider of choice!"

Although PrintSpectrum's WiFi printing service looks like a very small product it is badly needed by almost every serious hotel in the world. Especially the smaller ones without a business centre. And being software only there should be no geographical limit to sales. Also the main (long term) revenue stream is likely to be the on-going support fees rather than the initial sales revenue, and of course it is a great lead-in to the full wi-fi offering which, whilst currently focussed on UK and Germany, now has a spring board to go worldwide.

If Spectrum can manage this potential growth properly the sky is the limit... and yes we could be talking print facilities on long haul aircraft :-)

As an IT person who travels the world and stays in hotel chains I know that this can (and will) go MEGA ! And a foot in the door at Radisson is great. This will also very easilly go worldwide !

I notice the Hilton logo on the header - do they have a contract with Hilton ?

I very much doubt if the market will see it coming so it wont get reflected in the share price until it is in the results which will take 6-12 months to get reasonable revenue coming then another 6-12 to show up in the results. So it will require patience for a year or two then it will be a mega-multi-bagger.

Just as long as they dont selll out too cheaply first.

If I had a few million I would make a bid for the company - The potential is enormous.

Spectrum adds PrintSpectrum's WiFi printing service across Radisson Edwardian hotels.

Spectrum Interactive's WiFi printing service PrintSpectrum, has been successfully rolled out across Radisson Edwardian hotels, in a three year deal.

Spectrum provide WiFi services at all 13 Radisson Edwardian hotels, configured as a free to use service for Guests. Each hotel now offers WiFi laptop users the ability to print documents, or emails and their attachments, sending them directly from their laptop and collecting them at the hotel's Business Centre. The print is only released to the printer by the PrintSpectrum system when the Guest provides their unique "Privacy PIN".

As a further feature, Guests with Blackberrys can also forward emails (and their attachments), to a hotel specific email address. The Blackberry receives an automated "Privacy PIN" email by return, enabling the Guest to receive their prints in a controlled and secure manner from the Business Centre.

Iype Abraham, Radisson Edwardian IT Director said, "The addition of PrintSpectrum further enhances Radisson Edwardian's hotel services and reinforces the importance we put on providing quality WiFi services to our Guests".

Daniel Gray, Spectrum's Head of Marketing & Product Innovation added, "Radisson Edwardian is the first hotel group to adopt PrintSpectrum across it's whole estate. A few years ago hotels differentiated themselves by simply offering WiFi. Now every hotel offers some sort of WiFi, so it is the related features and services that makes the difference to the Guest. Guest printing has always been a problem for hotel staff, and in particular their IT managers. PrintSpectrum is an excellent product addition, providing easily understood & secure Guest printing services. A perfect solution to every hotel manager!"

Those sells just keep on coming. I'm thinking of adding again at these bargain prices. Was quoted 13.33 for to buy 25000 but waited as something tells me it might get even cheaper!

Well i think the shareprice is remaining on the cautious side so lots of upside to come if we exceed forcasts.

I see no segmental info in this years interims regarding German operation, I noticed we lost 270k at last interims, so maybe circa 540k over the year.

With Payphones in Germany gone after October & 13 German airports & interactive services kicking in, that loss can be turned to profit. I suspect (rightly) the brokers are being very cautious.

Ah warm welcome it is then, also I know your research is good, so look forward to your postings.

I'm fine but a bit worried about April/May here in Philippines, it's the Philippine summer & gets very very hot, I may lose some weight!!! not experienced Apr or May here before, but noticed it got very hot in another Asian country about Mar/Apr, so although the weather is good here, I'm concerned about the next two months.....If I miss type, it will be the sweat dripping over the keyboard making the fingers slip on the keys!

I think the key here is waiting for the 'penny to drop' that Spectrum are going to be over 50% INTERACTIVE SERVICES, which has seen very impressive growth and will demand a much higher p/e than the payphone telecoms......that's when we will maybe get a rating of a decent 14 or 15 p/e ratio, rather than the prospective one of perhaps 2....which applies to the first full year of removal of loss making phones & first full year of Travelodge, also I expect we will be around 75% interactive t/o by then.

So although we have to be patient, over the next 24 months, I can see a 7 fold increase in price.

I am now aware of the new broker note which I understand informs that the German payphones cease in October...good news, the German payphones have made a dent in SINs figures.

They also expect a 50% increase in profits (on 2m less t/o) to June next year, but IFRS makes them provide for 500K tax that isn't due, but relates to tax losses....therefore decreasing EPS, but it still doubles from 1p to 2p, despite that. On a 30% tax charge I make it circa 2.5p under old rules, giving a p/e about 5.5.

I suspect after that, we are due a full year after the removal of all loss making payphones & indeed a full year of the Travelodge WI-FI....so hopefully a p/e of about 2 for that period.
