22/2/2017 12:54 | No sell off has always been my way of thinking carrbrad, if sirius are working to a time frame here then i look forward to hearing some further news as we lead upto the 6th because surely this cpr date has got to count for something as they would have known about the 6 month timeframe when they released it | deadly nightshade
22/2/2017 11:19 | I know that this share has been and still is an absolutely bloody nightmare - what was I thinking!! | carrbradshaw
22/2/2017 11:17 | deadly....until they hit oil.....there's nothing to sell off (not in Ororo any way) | htrocka2
22/2/2017 11:14 | And CB knows | solarno lopez
22/2/2017 11:10 | It's not being sold off Deadly - never was | carrbradshaw
22/2/2017 11:08 | Does anyone think todays news keeps us in line with possible news by 6th march. If it now looks like we could be a producer rather then a sell off afer the need for a equipment in todays rns, if this cpr does run out on 6th march then surely we need some news fairly soon if this share is to be suspended pending ad/rto. If this was being sold off then why the need for the cash call to fund equipment? | deadly nightshade
22/2/2017 11:06 | vatnabrekk... The FTSA, ie the farm in agreement, states that it was part of SRSP's remit to develop the field. This would eventually culminate in them ending up as a 'producer' as opposed to an 'Investor'.....hence an AD change that would require shareholder approval followed by a suspension and re-admittance. FTSA rns extract 'Should Sirius decide to proceed to field development, Sirius will be entitled to a 40 per cent. interest in the Ororo field, jointly operating the field with Guarantee and Owena, and Sirius will fund 100 per cent.......' | htrocka2
22/2/2017 09:48 | Pardon my ignorance, but would it not be possible for either Guarantee or Owena to become the operator, with Sirius holding 40% investment, thereby avoiding the need for Sirius to change its status from investor to producer? Also then presumably no need for a RTO? | vatnabrekk
22/2/2017 09:32 | Cantor still supportive. 22 Feb. Cantor...2.30p 'Buy' | htrocka2
22/2/2017 09:25 | A Christmas Tree is named for its resemblance to a decorative tree at Christmas. Many times, the words Christmas Tree and Wellhead are used interchangeably; however, a wellhead and christmas tree are entirely separate pieces of equipment. A wellhead must be present in order to utilize a Christmas tree and is used without a Christmas tree during drilling operations. An assembly of valves, spools, pressure gauges and chokes fitted to the wellhead of a completed well to control production. Christmas trees are available in a wide range of sizes and configurations, such as low- or high-pressure capacity and single- or multiple-completion capacity. | dr rosso
22/2/2017 09:12 | " ... to bring the Ororo field (OML 95) in Nigeria (in which Sirius has a 40% economic interest with its partners Guarantee Petroleum and Owena Oil & Gas) into production. If successful it is likely that Sirius would become the operator and this would trigger a reverse takeover under AiM rule 14 and require shareholder approval. Following this, complementary or unrelated acquisitions in the oil and gas sector may be made. The Company will seek to acquire interests in oil and gas projects ...may be achieved through acquisitions, partnerships or joint venture arrangements ....may result in the Company acquiring the whole or part of a company or project. " Clue to strategy is at the beginning of the above, with field/block linked together. But will Sirius continue to exist as a minnow independent producer in league with a host of monster names (Schlumberger/COSL .. field + Chevron/NNPC ... block) in O&G world? | dr rosso
22/2/2017 09:03 | Wonder how long it will take to shift the 250m shares, need volume | pipelinepete
22/2/2017 09:02 | Enter Graham Lyon, Schlumberger nd HAVOC ptnrs, stage left, then Sol. Semi-detached BoD and they have probably been driving the lorry from the back seat for 18 months or so. | drrichard
22/2/2017 08:58 | DOC you are spot on with your last paragraph, pre-drilling requires effort and knowledge. The equipment isn't something you give your child to play with !! | solarno lopez
22/2/2017 08:51 | AD/producer or t/o. Win/win. All rests on the size of the assets. The constant can-kicking is simply an aid to the select group of bootfillers who continue to accumulate on the cheap, and using opps to trade a few confident that the big news revelation isn't going tba whilst they are playing out their games. My question is who is making these grand pre-drilling decisions when nobody among the 3 current BoD members has any O&G field experience whatsoever. That suggests someone else has adopted responsibility, hinting at a brand new enterprise NewCo. being formed, to which ispm lead co-ordinator Schlumberger is answerable. | dr rosso
