This is what they've said will be installed. A surface wellhead, low cost, minimum facilities platform. Subsea platforms are used in deep water. I dare say some kind of extensive subsea infrastructure has been slotted into place, esp if Ororo is the hub. O2 drill the next piece in the jigsaw?

B&R, care to elaborate what you mean by "structure"? Do you mean a kind of network that extends beyond Ororo? Is O a hub? Linked to Isan et al?

Htrocka...there are two scenarios.
1.there are operations and production platforms at ororo as per website .
2 there are no operations and production pltforms at ororo.

If its no2 then why state there is on your website...it matters not how old that website is.

Bronislav.. that website has been up and running for at least 4 years. It implies that Owena Oil and Gas, the State vehicle, has a subsidiary, OwenaOil, through which it carries out its work programme....below is the contact email address...try your luck and see if you get a response.


Owena has operations and production platforms at"ORORO" oil field.

Black or red...question..what are your thoughts on the above statement taken from the owena oil and gas website.

Surprised nobody worked it out yet. A subsea production structure, O wellhead platform (CSP), multi-slot template it use flowline connections tied in to other fields nearby. C can't, so use O as a miniblock. Yes, O2 wellbore itself for to be drilled but will be very fast to produce its own 10k+ from multi-wells lateral and deep. But most important is a linked structure, rov to max, full details in cprs. Complex op. Why do you think are Chinese friends work with Schumberger? Funding is for all of it expanded in offshore blocks. No delay just hard work putting every thing together and there you have it, good morning.

They said they didn't want to issue the full 1.7 b if they could avoid to it's there as a back up they had the same amount last year and didn't, if they did want to fund raise it would be at higher levels that's more beneficial, clearly another big allotment has to be allowed for the final partner and then the jigsaw should be complete and no more games and secrecy and we will see the big re rate we so desperately need.

Those 1.7 billion will be chipped away at ,the final tranche will be held back until everything is water tight.Only then will they be switched.Safety has always been kept as the priority .Perhaps why they didnt issue all the shares that they had shareholder approval for last year. They were there to issue just in case.

...that's an excellent point and the obvious answer is 'yes'.... however, in any case, the company have to be careful not to issue 1.2bn shares to a single entity or concert party, as this would trigger the 30% rule whereby the holder would be obliged to make a cash offer for the rest of the shares at the highest price during the previous twelve months.

'could they even be needed to fend off a possible hostile takeover at some point???


The bottom line...yes, eventually they'll be utilised, probably as part of the end game or even within the proposed JOA, but their current purpose is to act as a defence mechanism against unwelcome, hostile predators.

Good posts, black_or_Red, as usual. In your last paragraph you say that subsea plant will be in place. Lots of other stuff to do.
If we back calculate from oil in June, or gas, or whatever, we can then factor in a drill time, before that the placement and hook up to these subsea bits of kit, before that the drill has to arrive. 6-10 weeks? Perhaps 12. Say early April?
From this end we have the AD to sign off, the EGM to arrange and enact, the relisting to arrange. Phew. Only 6 weeks to April.
Things ought to start happening soon and there is still time. I reckon, anyway. Thoughts anybody?

This is a very large, complex operation involving several contracters. It is not too much a surprise it becomes long and dawn out. However do not worry if the rig has not arrived, first oil from drilling can come very quick as subsea installations will all be in place.

Using the well conductors to support a simple wellhead platform is an elegant way of limiting the costs of oilfield development in shallower water, especially if you can install the entire structure from a drilling rig and without any special heavy-lift vessels.
