HugePants, re your earlier query - I have just had a look at the revenue history for RDF over the last 6 years and in 4 of the 6 years the revenue was higher in H2, but I do not think this is particularly significant. I worked in IT Services for a few years and normally Winter was busier than Summer.

The company quote EPS of 3.44p for the first half. If this were equalled in the second half this would give 6.88p, which at the current price of 46p gives a PE of 6.7. This is very cheap for a company with no debt and with prospects of growth.

One reason for the low price is that small IT companies are still out of favour with the market - lots of people are still nursing big losses from 2000.
Nonetheless, there does seem to be a marked increase in IT spending. This is partly because many companys' IT budgets were slashed post 2000, but now people are beginning to see the benefits from increasing IT spend again. In some cases systems have got in such a state through lack of spending that they need urgent attention.

That 10k at 36.5p was a purchase.

The price was 35-37 at the time, and panmure's had some shares on their book which they were happy to let go, seeing as the stock had barely traded in the last 2 months.

Bet the guy who sold 10k at 36.5k at 8.02 is feeling a bit sick now.
On a pe of 7 is this not cheap, and this pe could even go lower,
so it could be cheap, cheap.

HugePants

Its too early to tell, after taking on the new consultancy business in March.

The only downside to this share is that it can go weeks without trading, and comes alive once in a blue moon. It is horrendously illiquid, but it does represent exceptional value imo.

Looks quite good to me after reading the accounts,
what is the catch?
pe ratio of just 7 this year!
Is this not good value or am I missing something here?

Is this business seasonal? Last years H2 operating profit was 40% higher than H1.

More like a young puppy this morning. Not surprising with EPS for the half year higher than the whole of the previous year AND a bullish outlook. The shares are 33% up already and could go higher yet.

The desert may be the mix up with RDF Media - the tv co - I keep getting the wrong one! Watching the software co since july at 47p good results and good news ahead - "new contracts with significant clients" "fully operational already in profit" "strong net profit growth". If you believe all that then it is cheap. Dont understand the size of the drop though and that worries me I went into Brady on " its cheap" basis only to lose heavily after lack of contracts. I'm pondering a gamble on the interim, waiting to see if share price nips up a bit.

It looks like this has missed the radar of most for the moment - due to the name change issues.

A small typo error by the look of it.

Boern is a little dyslexic.

The big boss ought to sell some of his shares in a placing imo, to improve liquidity and interest.

Beorn - how come the company name is RGF Group in your thread title and RDF Group most other places?

LOL!

I know some of the chaps that work at RFG.

Given that this company shares your initials, I thought you might like it.

btw, what does the 'F' stand for ?
