yeah, i think that is correct, there has to be an impairment of assets, and i think debt significantly would outweigh any assets the company has. I can't see them becoming profitable in this enviroment, hence, imo, on the verge of insolvency... if not already ..

saffy..

Wooly - it isn't purported confidence - it's blatant lies from a serial ramper!

I keep reading Pharma's comments about the Sept/Oct cash and thought I'd see why he keeps mentioning it and what it really means.
According to the 12/07 annual report, the east kilbride JV (which was 50:50 as per note 1 to the annual report) with kilmartin was the template for future business - so why was the JV unwound? In 9/08 PLG announced despite the JV having net assets of which their share was close to £1M, they were selling their stake for £500K (and received payment of £191K intercompany loan as part of the deal) - why would they sell their 50% share of a near £2M net asset business for £500K? To shore up cashflow or because they had no confidence in the business perhaps? the £15.5M NBV of land and buildings in the 12/07 a/cs compares to historical cost and subsequent expenditure, together totalling £9.9M. The valuations weer done by Humberts, the latest being Northwivck Park in June '06 - so the net asset position which keeps being referred to above is mostly revaluation of land and buildings 2-3 years ago - surely since that time the value would have fallen significantly? As there were in excess of £10M of loans at 6/08 and we know cash has since become an issue, I assume debt has risen since. Even at £10M I'm not convinced liquidation of the group would leave anything for shareholders due to the age of the latest valuation and likely alternative use values in today's market.
Sorry guys, I'm not being paid to de-ramp, I just don't share your purported confidence in the business and see investment as no better than gambling.

P&D wooly - as defined by Wikipedia -

It's not the quality of the company that Pharma is interested in. It's how small the market cap (and generally, tiny market caps means the company is in huge trouble).

who will buy whilst there's fundamental uncertainty here? Surely nobody will buy just because there's higher volume than usual?

bozzy - thanks for the info re shorting, I didn't realise that wasn't an option. not sure why pharma would see this as an opportunity for r&d let alone long term investment unelss he knows somethiong we don't.

And in 2 days you'll not give a toss about PLG as long as you've made your quick buck. All this rampety ramp is pointless, meaningless, nonsense. Just be honest and say 'please buy some shares so I can dump mine at a profit'

Read my post again, and cast your mind back to last year, under a different username (possibly power talker)

You repeatedly bought shares throughout the day in a little microcap. Ramped it to the hills. No-one bought a single share, and you sold the lot the very next day.

It might have been fewer than 12 separate buys. Might have been more like 8. But you must remember, cos you were well and truly exposed as a liar.

Also Wooly, you cannot short stocks this small. Which is a shame, cos everything pharma pumps ends up down. When he ramps something it's a very clear sell signal, because everyone knows he's got a shedload he wants to sell quickly.

everyone has thier own view no offence taken.4 sites all with revenue.kilmartin 0.75m settlement will not have been used.5.4m assets in accounts.prime assets.3.5p rise was probably an interested party.banks or take-over imho.bank funding will come quickly imho good asset value.

Wooly, have a look at the ENEG thread. This guy is a serial criminal. Buys shares in microcap stocks, makes up false rumours to try and entice others in, then sells his artificially inflated shares.

It's nothing more sophisticated than that!

Pharma - I've just thought - aer you buying to cover a short from when the price was around 2p? That would explain a desire to buy despite the obvious uncertainty around their solvency... You may simply believe in the business, but I can't see anyone else finding your posts persuasive at this stage. Sorry if that sounds rude, it's not meant to.
