03/3/2008 22:13 | Smelleroo, was that to renew membership without your prior consent ? Just threaten to call your card issuer to do a chargeback ;) They should give it back then otherwise the amount of paperwork they have to do will give them headaches handling the dispute.. I used to like Metro before it was rebranded under Playgolf management. The new management is dire and greedy. The first thing they did was stoping rollover of your ball credits and lessons at the end of 12 months. They also made their various levels of membership less flexible so everyone just dropped a level or 2 to cheaper memberships rather than paying more for less.. The management really did mess this up big time by upsetting the core customers. OK the new customers may not notice but do they think we are idiots or something ? Whoever decided these basic changes losed a lot of customers and goodwill and should be sacked.. The only decent thing is the restaurant, especially the 2 for 1s evenings. Its not owned by Metro but I bet its got a better T/O and profits ! | woracle
03/3/2008 21:59 | they swiped £100 of my card at hendon and will not refund it! trading is dire and management are v weak! not sure this will be listed for too much longer! | smelleroo
03/3/2008 21:55 | Been a member of Metro Hendon for 6 years but sad to say I will not be renewing when my membership runs out next month. Many of my friends there wont be either. The state of the balls has gotten so bad, whats the point..and in this cold, half the overhead heaters dont work and havent been repaired. The mats should have been replaced 6 months ago. The number of players is definetly down from previous years. Cant comment on the other sites but if the same policy applies and they wanna skimp on decent balls and mats, it will destroy their business very fast. They have been actively calling people up to renew.. that must be desperation. Golfers will walk..there are plenty of alternatives. | woracle |
