07/12/2002 13:00 | they have just announced that they will be increasing the size of their pizzas by 15% from next week - to 10.5 inches, another 1.5 inches at no extra cost - this should add 15% at least to the share price very soon imho - GREAT NEWS AND THE BEGINNING OF A FIGHT=BACK! | ydderf

06/11/2002 13:50 | Earlier this week I posted on MF that the management were not seeming to act as owners. In other words their lack of action and response to the bid was suspicious to me. It seemed that they were allowing the bid talks of 350p to gain an air of respectability. It appears I am not alone in my view. 05/11/2002 10:11 | does anyone think that there is any correlation between the negative announcements pronounced by pizza express and the low level of the bid ? | bigboyo
04/11/2002 17:31 | After testing the water with a low offer, I think the answer from todays close is that there is plenty of fight from shareholders who've bought at (sometimes) significantly higher prices. The trouble with this stratagy (although there's no getting away from it) is that it could smoke out any other potential bidders leading to an auction. Furthermore, it could, make any MBO more palatable in the face of an 'external' threat. I think this one's got a long way to go, given the latest (Oct '02) Analyst magazine DCF valuation of 700p on zero sales growth. Cheers Daytona | daytona222
