Suspect this will be the best buying point between now and Easter when it will be above the ath! Every chance they announce revenues just above $1bn (joel was aspiring to hit this in an interview/analyst qu) on 8th January or thereabouts update.....

Brexit was a fall to 340 then a rise. Maybe the shorts should use the turbulence today to close. In the past there has been strong support at 360 and the 340 drop on Brexit day. Below that it would be wishful thinking if they can push it down further.

@zho - I think that estimate of 35.7p was based off the pre Brexit FX rate - I tend to use the origional $ EPS as it is more consistent. From memory that was 55-60 cent US.

Current share price @360p = $4.58 or PE of 7.8 ; I rounded to 7.5 as the 60cent earnings is not a very taxing target for pays and should be easily achievable.

SO all in we really are very cheap - and as I mentioned debt free in less than 12 months.

We should be about double our current share price if not for the deliberate actions to kill the momentum we had on the share price - which should be sitting on a forward 2017 PE of 15 ( similar to peers who have not performed anywhere as strong as PAYS) - so that would put share price at about 720p.

over the last 12 months the share price has been mmanaged down by similar trading patterns. The recent move down had the same stamp on it. IMO they opened the short because the share allows them to move the price with sufficent fire power.
The buy sell activity has been such that they have been in control stepping this downwards.
At what point is the upward force such that this tactic stops. 360 was the support level thuis far. 350 was hit on day of Britex, a much bigger evenbt than the Italian refendum for this stock.
The declared shorts were first taken out July-Sept 2016, why we wondered, a folly we thought. Maybe yes. Shortly after Brexit the share price jumped and then formed a gap on the results day AND WENT UP TO 470.
Next short opened around 460-70. The drove thE price down creating the fiction that it will close the gap, it acheived this, then because it could drove the price down to the support levels of 360, its next target will be 350 which it tried on Friday. If it relies on the It ref to provide the spur it will be even shorter lived than Brexit dip.

Why do they do it, because they can, they have seen what has happened before, know the share can be moved and bought the fire power to do so. It is as cynical as that.

All IMO

>>on current share price we are on a lowly PE of about 7.5 for 2017>>>

Is that right? Estimated eps for 2017 are about 36p according to:

Still holding and not overly concerned as I have a long term outlook. However if this week has thought me something it is that shorters know how to manipulate a share, despite its underlying fundamentals. The real question is whether or not you want to be dragged by the nose by someone who certainly doesn't have your best interests in mind.

Both sets of shorts were started before the Trading updates in Aug & Nov respectively....... yet both trading results have confirmed we are on track for record revenues and profits & that we will be debt free by end 2017 - and at the time we were hardly on a forward PE 2017 of 10 - on current share price we are on a lowly PE of about 7.5 for 2017.

Why would anyone take such a big bet against a company with that outlook - only one reason makes sense - to supress the share price to make a bid look better when compared to the preceeding 6 months - I suspect an RNS is not far off.

Is there likeley to be a Rights Issue? I suppose it all depends on who they are buying? In a way I have answered my own question.
Good news anyway.
I wonder if that Dogi on the Chart that came on at the close Friday is going to change the trend. I will have to wait till Monday to see if I know enough Charting.

Prior selloffs have indeed proven buying opportunities eg in the lull post Skrill to the low 200s (June 15), and after the data breach scare to sub 300 (Oct 15).
