Next Thursday 8th is the Berenberg conference - Ingenico; Worldpay; Wirecard are also there - could be an interesting day for an announcement- perhaps ?

I think someone's confused PAYS with PAY and thinks they are trading ex-div of 12.2p today :-) (drowning man .... straws)

Guys relax. Volume is very light. So shorters are finding it easy to push down. It is cheap and when it turns then it will be swift. We seem to be in a range 360-420. If it goes down on heavy volume start worrying.

I guess one of the big reasons why the share price can swing so much is that there is no divi to support the price.
I am not suggesting that they should pay one at the moment but equally it is definitely a factor.
I have set a limit order to buy at 365 so I will just have to see if it gets filled in the next week or so.

Chaps, I suggest you read Wolfhound's posts again. If there was anything wrong the company would have had to disclose it in the trading update in November. Instead we got this from JL which looks ok to me:"I am delighted to report that we are on track to achieve the upgraded revenue and adjusted EBITDA projections for the current financial year which we set out at the time of our Half-Year results in August, all while maintaining our focus on further expanding our payments business and enhancing our core technology platform. We remain focused on delivering innovative payment solutions that serve the evolving needs of the merchants we work with and look forward to updating the market on our FY 2016 results in early 2017."

I was going to say that the two main funds shorting the stock usually have a reason, perhaps a weakness somewhere but there are only two of them , everyone else seems to think that they are a cheap including the Naked Trader , The Motely Fool who recently recommended them etc. .Perhaps there is a bid in the offing.

Very true Nurdin. Slightly worrying especially with the continuous, small shorts

The big question is, why are they being shorted despite the very attractive fundamentals?

They do bounce around a lot, sort of share to buy and forget about as imo they will recover at some point

It will be interesting to see how this goes. I suspect it will be ready to bounce back up but I would rather not have my money invested at this moment in time. Paper trade for me out of interest...

looks like a buy at 388.70p last thing .I think these are pretty cheap now. I don't usually average down but in this case if it goes much lower I may.

still watching.
If 390 doesn't hold I guess the next line would be 360, the next few days should clarify.

So if it's a significant acquisition that needs sizeable RI funding then, if you are brave enough, try to sell on the high point of the spike?

Well the market is certainly none the wiser given we are at a low point for the day.
