Presumably van eck and blackrock were purchasing because they felt the assets had high potential.What evidence were management referring to when they gave the 200k oz pa forecast?

LOL - stretching it a bit to suggest I could be "over the moon". Not even doing cartwheels.
Reassuring though to see they are at last delivering on targets set. Promising for future.
As you say, 82k production is over 2 years. Can't be that far short of total produced at Lomada and that seemed to get eaten up in cash burn, though the net margin at Cap O looks considerably healthier.

I think the 400k Mkt Cap can be put down to Van Eck & BlackRock + excessive ramping and the herd arriving + 200k pa production confidently forecast by BoD + rumours of buy out........ sent the share price soaring to 70p. Since then there's been little but zillions of additional shares put into circulation having a major effect on Mkt Cap.

However, I will be over the moon if this goes to 6-7p before Xmas. Can then head for the exit door for the last time here with a nice profit from 1.81p.

The figures on advfn are as trustworthy as ever. According to the FT, Avocet' s market cap is £10.34m. Apologies for the comparison. I'm suitably chastened.

But re PGD.. previous peak here of £400m market cap, which would equate to around 25p at current nosh.Presumably the asset base is particularly sizeable, hence the giddy historic valuation. If they can build credibility that the assets are now workable then we may see a return to these levels.

Amazing differences in valuation between PGD market cap of £39m with a proposed production of 82,000 oz pa against Avocet with a market cap of £93m and production of 75,000 oz in 2015.

The Avocet valuation includes their latest gold shipment having been seized due to monies owed, and them stating that unless this is solved then they will go bust.

Surely the current PGD valuation is erroneous!
