22/4/2016 08:18 | "The Open Offer Shares have not been placed subject to clawback nor have they been underwritten, but Carlos J. Miguens has undertaken to apply for all of his direct and Cantomi's Open Offer Entitlements, as well as to apply, through Cantomi, for all of the remaining Open Offer Shares under the Excess Application Facility."You will be aware that Carlos will not be obliged to make make an offer to remaining shareholders having exercised the "whitewashing".In reality, this company is as good as being taken private by Carlos and his concert party. If other shareholders don't support the issue,Carlos will fund the whole issue at 1.5p.Is that good or bad?Well, I suppose the company stays listed and will do so as long as Carlos deems a listing convenient. | steeplejack
22/4/2016 07:58 | Rising GOLD/SILVER prices actually, the same as happened in the last run up to c 60p a share. Rising PM prices will probably lift most PM stock prices regardless of past dilution. | goldenshare888
22/4/2016 07:39 | An increase of over 40% in equity at 1.5p,a fraction higher than the all time share price low.Relief that the company has actually managed to raise life-line finance appears to blind punters to the fact that this involves massive dilution. As regular as clockwork over the last decade, this company has raised equity finance and returned nothing to shareholders. Why you think the company is about to undergo some damascene experience and change its spots. | steeplejack
22/4/2016 07:21 | Pursuant to the Open Offer, Carlos J. Miguens has also undertaken to apply for all of his direct and Cantomi's Open Offer Entitlements as well as to apply, through Cantomi, for all the remaining Open Offer Shares under the Excess Application Facility, comprising in aggregate, 230,425,092 Open Offer Shares.Carlos having most of the shares so he must be extremely confident. 19/4/2016 10:11 | Argentina returns to bond market after 15-year isolation Argentina has returned to the international borrowing markets with a sale of sovereign bonds that ends 15 years of exile since its 2001 default. The country is raising up to $15bn, but demand for the bond issue was strong and attracted orders worth $65bn. | robers98
15/4/2016 09:41 | I expect gold miners across the board to do well this year. IMO | hazl
15/4/2016 09:32 | No I notice you have been negative before but if you aren't interested walk away its your choice. | hazl
15/4/2016 09:24 | No,I don't think they deserve time.I was reassured by Humphries buying p.a. in the 30s,I was reassured by analyst forecasts of sharply rising production but to no avail. This is a poorly managed outfit, operating in shattered, cash strapped sector,in a country that has traditionally reneged on its debts and even arbitrarily nationalised foreign companies. If my capitulation is some sort of Indian smoke signal to load up the old portfolio,be my guest! | steeplejack
15/4/2016 09:23 | Do I read it right that Cap O prog time scale is already starting to flag? In Feb there was the ballsy statement that it'd be in production by Q3 with a stated production target for 2016. Seemed to me, it was a less bullish statement today. No surprise I guess. | lochlea
15/4/2016 08:44 | give them time.......the gold market has been torrid... | hazl
15/4/2016 08:12 | Yes they say the best time to get a sector is when investors are thoroughly disenchanted with it............. imo | hazl
15/4/2016 07:59 | I seem to remember in the good 'ol days, analysts crunched numbers suggesting the company would be producing 100,000 ounces of gold per annum by 2016.In reality, what we've had is a small time heap leaching operation.I confess, that ever since Medusa unceremoniously delisted from the AIM market and slunk off back to Australia,I've been pretty disinterested in junior mining stocks. All they're good for is drunken remembrances of their Icarus like fall from grace re the likes of Poseidon,Double Eagle et al.Patagonia,98% off its peak,is a candidate to join such a merry group, who promised much and delivered very little. | steeplejack
15/4/2016 07:35 | Erik Hadik has a good video out about this expected dip in the gold-price and the summer PRICES to look forward to.No guarantees in this business but I am a firm holder as things stand. IMO | hazl
15/4/2016 07:32 | I remember it well steeplejack, this was a good performer last time round. The political and economic conditions are rather better in Argentina, now, though imo from investegate.com 'Patagonia Gold retains its investment focus on Argentina and, for this reason, it continues to review opportunities to enhance its participation in the local mining business. The improved market sentiment coupled with the change in government in Argentina pose an excellent opportunity for Patagonia Gold to grow its business in the region. The Company has succeeded in maintaining its strong position through another year of challenging markets thanks to the commitment of its management, staff, and technical team. I am confident that Patagonia Gold will be able to continue to achieve significant milestones in the ensuing year, enhancing the potential of its core projects and vigorously developing its other properties via combined exploration endeavours.' | hazl
15/4/2016 07:20 | No real surprises in those figures.Next cash call can't be far off. With the benefit of hindsight ,it is extraordinary that this stock once attained a share price of around 70p. | steeplejack
12/4/2016 15:19 | prelims?.....anyway interest definitely. imo | hazl

10/4/2016 19:54 | By Biman Mukerji 'The Wall Street Journal Sunday, April 10, 2016 Chinese gold miners are aggressively scouting for overseas acquisitions, encouraged by historically low gold prices that could help them scoop up assets cheaply. Though gold prices have risen by more than 16 percent since hitting a six-year low last December, prices are still trading close to levels last seen in 2010, in a range of roughly $1,220-$1,240 per troy ounce. China is the world's largest gold consumer and producer, but only a few Chinese companies such as Zijin Mining have ventured abroad to buy mines, unlike their counterparts in industrial metals. If cash-rich Chinese gold miners embark on an asset-buying spree, China could reduce its dependency on other international producers for supplies and increase its heft in global gold markets. ... A period of low gold prices also means Chinese companies may have more options to buy because several mining companies are facing a credit crunch and have massive debt. "China has five to six gold companies. I have been in touch with all of them, and they all have plans for increasing assets overseas,” said Peter Grosskopf, chief executive officer of Sprott Asset Management, a Toronto-based company that manages assets including physical bullion trusts. He says the Chinese companies are well-capitalized and better positioned than their North American counterparts. Sprott has set up a partnership fund with China’s leading gold company, the Zijin Mining Group, which is called the Zijin Sprott Fund, with the aim of buying overseas gold assets, Mr. Grosskopf said. "The expansion [opportunities] are better globally than in China." ...' | hazl
10/4/2016 19:49 | Perhaps it will be PGD's week next week? It is due a bit of a rise,I reckon! IMO | hazl
07/4/2016 17:05 | Watching paint dry would be more exciting. They weren't slow to say they hoped to produce 9,000 ozs in Q1. Now well into Q2 - not so quick to say if they actually achieved it. Mind you, they were forecasting to be on target to be producing 50,000 ozs a Q by now once upon a time. Delivery never been a strong suit. | lochlea
29/3/2016 16:18 | Lost 40% of it's value in a couple of months. Another stroke of genius by the BoD. But do they care at this point in time? No, of course not. Must be a Placement coming. 1p? | lochlea |
