Not forgetting the Bankable Feasibility Study due end-October which should provide a much higher valuation of the Company.

As an aside Rainbow Rare Earth are really stuck in the mud. Their resources look quite promising, but alas their management are underdelivering (JORC now almost 6 months late). Pensana really have got their act together as far as communication and delivery are concerned.

When I first heard about Pensana it was being touted as a possible 'Ten Bagger'. For those savvy enough to buy in at the end of March that is now a very real possibility, and in under six months! The rest of us longer term holders might have to wait a couple of months more, but it will happen.

Speaking of which, a "Ten Bagger" within two years is still possible for any new investors buying in today. Tomorrow's buyers may have to hang on till the predicted NdPr price rises in 2023.

ASX took another spectacular run today hitting Au$1.00 just after lunch before triggering modest profit taking. just under 1M shares traded to close at 96.5c

Massive increase in the mineral resource estimate, particularly in the measured and indicated categories; the estimated overall contained NdPr has been increased by 35%.

On the ASX Pensana closed up 6% at AUD 0.88 which at the current exchange rate of £1.00 = AUD 1.76 equates to 50p.

Mineral Reserve is out and confirms there will be no problem in feeding Longonjo for at least 20 years.

On top of that the total Resource is well and truly Tier 1 World Class and is still open at depth and on a number of margins!

The ASX closed at 88c or a nice even 50p after a big day of trading as computer 'sell' algorithms were triggered by the initial rise then finally taken out in solid afternoon buying,

The BFS is going to be a Ripper !

Thanks Chinasyndrome. I think a refinery in Africa would be useful. It would be cheaper and would encounter fewer environmental hurdles. Will be interesting to see if it is mentioned at all in Pensana's upcoming reports.

My understanding is that Pensana's Longonjo mine is going to be producing around 5000tpa of Mixed Rare Earth Concentrate, which should contain around 90% of Rare Earth carbonates; confirmation will be coming with the BFS next month.

At this current time these concentrates will more than likely have to be shipped to China for refining, because as you correctly point out even US production has to go there until the Mountain Pass refinery is built (2024 ? or if ever).

To keep pace with demand required to to sustain the 'Green Revolution' the World is going to need at least one large and probably more additional Refineries, touted locations Europe and Africa ~ (there is an ideal site for one at Lobito in Angola). Somebody should be looking at that !

Luckily for us, our Chairman has developed excellent connections with Chinese business, having lived and operated out of Beijing for a number of years. So I would like to think Pensana has an edge over any Australian hosted mines, especially as China has already developed a very strong and positive relationship with our hosts, Angola.

Let's not get distracted by this xenophobic 'Trade War' that Trump has been orchestrating from his first day in Office. Destroying Free Trade and the WTO and returning to Bi-lateral agreements only benefits the USA. It was America's own companies that Bankrupted the US Bankrupt by moving their manufacturing operations off-shore. Lets not get dragged into it !

The Green Revolution needs vast quantities of NdPr and the Chinese have already stated that their mines can not keep up with the projected demand. That they are prepared to shut down their existing Environmental nightmares and import concentrate to feed their Refineries is a Win-Win for all.

Quite an interesting article from Bloomberg which highlights the US desire to become less reliant on Chinese imports of rare earths. The problem is no matter how much they mine in the U.S. they still have to ship its raw material to China for final processing because "it's the only nation with refining capability".

Anyone know how Pensana are going to refine their produce? The Company presentation states "near surface ore body will be processed into a mixed rare earth carbonate".
Does that mean no reliance on China?

You don't need an RNS to know why this rush has started,

Drilling Results from two months back showed that the mineralisation at Longonjo continues down below 80 metres (previous drilling had been in the top weathered zone ~20m). Therefore you don't have to have a Math degree to work out that the upcoming 'Mineral Resource/Reserve Announcement" due within the next week or so is going to be spectacular.

Australians love to bet, especially on one horse races !

And there I was, worried about the Hype that the revival of Mountain Pass was going to pip us for Top spot on the 'World Class' deposit Parade !

While doing some research I became frustrated when I could not find any Ore Reserve statement for Mountain Pass ! Plenty of old Molycorp data available but the mine has been operating since then, much of what was there has already been mined.

Finally I found Fortress' IPO document: containing the 'Current Resources'

hxxps://mpmaterials.com/uploads/2020.07%20MP%20Materials%20Transaction%20Deck.PDF

OK first my impression was that they have a spectacular grade 7.8%; how can anybody possibly compete with that ..........

However according to Molycorp, over 83% of their TREO is almost worthless La and Ce! Payable NdPr makes up just 15% of their basket, meaning that their Head grade actually comes back down to 1.2% NdPr. Still not bad; but nowhere near the "Richest in the World" that they were claiming.

hxxps://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1751-3928.2008.00068.x
.
Then when you look at their Ore Reserve Statement !!! [ Fortress ~ Page 31 has the details ] !! They currently have a 'Total Resource' of just 14.6Mt !! and only 215kt (containing just 2500t NdPr) of that is classified as Proven Reserves, Which makes producing 6kt NdPr pa a magic trick !

Longonjo is going to blast those numbers way out of the water.

I guess this is what happens when a President 'without cloths' demands a mine and the Financiers then ignore the Mining Professionals. How much did the American Taxpayer contribute towards this Fiasco ?

One immediate problem that arises out of this revelation is that the World has just lost a substantial contribution to the coming NdPr supply shortfall which can only lead to one thing Rising Prices.

There is certainly some pre-election strongman posturing in the equation. And it's important not to get carried away into 1950s-style "Reds under the beds" paranoia. But the idea of a dictatorship, which is working to grow its power worldwide, exercising control or directing both state and private assets to bend to its political will, isn't particularly fanciful.
