01/7/2005 10:04 | I can recommend the Montague Place enterprise as they are looking to buy anything we have on our books and some of it has been there a very long time. | coletwilky
30/6/2005 19:04 | I wonder if these are old mates of our PEERS? Are you selling a school? We are keen to meet with proprietors and head teachers who are interested in joining the Montague Place family. We are interested in all schools with over 100 pupils and we are able to offer extremely favourable terms for those which meet our exacting standards. We are particularly interested in working with owners who want to unlock value from their investment and also retain an interest in their school's continuing success. We appreciate that your school is likely to represent much of your lifetime's work and it is crucial that you receive a fair price for it. To this end, we recommend all potential sellers get a valuation from an independent valuation firm that specialises in schools. There are a small number of such firms in the UK and, whilst we must maintain our independence, we are happy to outline some options on request. At Montague Place, we are committed to paying a full and fair price for the schools which meet our requirements, and we can usually give an indication of the price we would pay within 1-2 weeks of receiving your accounts. Finally, confidentiality is the keyword when selling a school and we normally insist on signing a confidentiality agreement before visiting a school. And we are extremely discrete when we do visit. For a preliminary, confidential discussion, or to arrange a site visit, please contact us at the address below. 31/5/2005 00:02 | OUR BRAVE KEV IS REALLY VERY WORRIED NOW ABOUT THIS NEW LOT GEMS GETTING INTO NURSERIES. I FEEL HE IS JUST GETTING A BIT ODD THOUGH | seangwhite
30/5/2005 16:54 | Expect NAE pps to go down in view of the bad publicity arround in the private education field at present compliments of Sunni and Woodenhead | seangwhite
24/5/2005 21:54 | Just heard at a conference that poor old Peers is out of favour with both Cognita and another large and active V C in the private education market, both seem to think his outfit is a tad amatuerish. I wonder if the powers that be at NAE will have come to the same conclusion. | seangwhite
12/5/2005 23:05 | Just heard that good old KEV is to try raising funds from VCs for another schools based venture,EBD schools or the like. I would not be keen to back our KEV after his performance heading up NAE. | seangwhite

10/5/2005 22:08 | Interesting how well Chris Woodhead interviews on TV now that he is head of a large private schools company (Cognita), make you weep when you think how our poor old 'buckteeth' used to perform in front of the cameras. | seangwhite

05/5/2005 09:16 | I think the Banks should look at some of the leased property NAE has, they are at fairly high rents which in general have come down recently making them a bit of a liabitity. The NAE property value may now not be as high as guessed at on this BB and so might become a banking covenant issue. | seangwhite
05/5/2005 09:16 | And just LAST WEEK we got : Nord Anglia Education PLC said Lorene Simpson has resigned as group finance director. Simpson has been with the group since its flotation, working alongside former chairman, Kevin McNeany and managing director, David Johnson, both of whom have left the business in the course of the last two years. She has indicated to the board that now is the right time for her to move on as the business prepares to move into a new phase of its development. The company said it has appointed Stephen Hyde as interim group finance director with immediate effect and has started the search to identify suitable candidates for the position of group finance director on a permanent basis. Nord Anglia also said its interim results for the six months ended Feb 28 are expected to be released towards the end of May. | nilip
05/5/2005 09:15 | LOL !!!! Recent RNS : NordAnglia Education PLC said that its profits for the current financial year will be "significantly lower" than market expectations due to a further deterioration of the performance of its nursery division. However, it still expects earnings per share to be similar to or better than last year. The group also said it is in discussions with its principal lender regarding any possible implications for its banking arrangements arising from this profit warning. NordAnglia said the lender has been supportive and the company said it is confident they will be able to resolve any banking issues that might arise. | nilip |
